שעשו שם הד' מלכים בארות ומלאם עפר וחמר. עיי' רש"י עה"ת ומדרש אגדה שהיה הטיט מגובל בהם ונעשה נס למלך סדום שיצא משם כו'. ועיי' ב"ר פמ"ב אות ז' ושם איתא בשעה שירד אברהם לכבשן האש וניצול יש מעובדי ע"ז שהיו מאמינים, ויש שלא היו מאמינים וכיון שירד מלך סדום לחמר וניצול, התחילו מאמינים באברהם למפרע, וכאשר הביא המחבר לא נמצא במדרש:
