אמר יעקב אבינו לבניו. המאמר הה מצאתי בילקוט ויגש רמז קנ"א אחר שהביא מאמר ויאמר עבדך אבי אלינו יו"ד פעמים אמרו כו', ומצויין פדר"א, והוא בפל"ט, (ועיין לקח טוב ויגש בהערה מ"ט), ואח"כ מתחיל ולקחתם גם את זה א"ל בתחלה כשהיה בנימין אצלי היתה דעתי מיושבת עלי, ועכשיו דומה לי כאלו ג' לקחתם ביום אחד, ולמה יעקב דומה לנר שיש לו ג' פיות כיון שכבתה אחרונה כבו כולן וכו', וחסר הציון, גם על המאמר שלאחריו עד א"ל יוסף איני רוצה לידע כו' אשר מצוין שם תנחומא והוא בפרשה ויגש אות ז', והמאמר הזה אשר נשמט הציון היה לפני בעל הילקוט בב"ר פצ"ג כמו שתראה ממה שהבאתי להלן בהערה כ"ח, ואולי מזה המאמר שאב גם רש"י במה שכתב והורדתם את שבתי וגו', עכשיו שהוא אצלי אני מתנחם בו על אמו ועל אחיו, ואם ימות זה דומה עלי ששלשתן מתו ביום אחד:

אבל אני מעי מעי חמו לי כאבל. בילקוט שם ואני מעי קומטים עלי כאבל, והוראת קמט ענינו קשירה ולכידה, והמלה ערבית. כי המאמר היה לפני בעל הערוך במדרש ב"ר פצ"ג והביאו בערך קמתין, וז"ל בב"ר פצ"ד [צ"ל פצ"ג] וקרהו אסון אמר לי אעפ"י שכולן עומדים חוץ למקח אבל אני מעיי קמתין [צ"ל קמטין] עלי בחבל, והוא המאמר שהביא הילקוט, והמוספי העיר שם בנוסחאות חסרים דברים אלו ונמצאים בפרקי רבי אליעזר והביאם בעל הילקוט אבל כתוב קמטין וכן תתכן הגירסא, עיין ערך קמטא שפירושו לכד עכ"ל. ומה שהביא ונמצא בפדר"א והביאו בעל הילקוט לא נמצא שמץ מנהו בפדר"א, רק הילקוט בויגש רמז קנ"א הביא מאמר שלפניו מפדר"א על ויאמר עבדך אבי אלינו עשרה פעמים אמרו בני יעקב ליוסף עבדך אבינו, והוא בפדר"א פל"ט, אבל מן על ולקחתם גם את זה, הוא מאמר אחר וליתר שם, רק היו גם לפני הילקו' בב"ר וחסר הציון, וגם לפני הרב בעל הערוך היה זה בב"ר ונשמט לפנינו, וגם לפני המחבר היה זה בב"ר:
