ולמה לא נשק יעקב ליוסף לפי שהיה קורא באותה שעה בק"ש. וכן רש"י הביא וז"ל: יעקב לא נפל על צוארי יוסף ולא נשקו, ואמרו רבותינו שהיה קורא את שמע עכ"ל ובשו"ת הגאונים (דפוס ליק) סי' מ"ה תשובה ל"ח שאלה מן קמאי מר רב יהודאי גאון ז"ל מהו שלא נשק לו ליוסף, ואמר דהוה קא קרי יעקב אבינו ק"ש ולא פסק ליה. והעירותי שם בהערות ותיקונים (ליק תרכ"ה) עיין רש"י בראשית מ"ז כ"ט שכתב וז"ל ואמרו רבותינו שהיה קורא את שמע, ועיין במהרש"א בחידושי אגדות יומא דף י"ט שהביא זאת בשם המדרש, ועיין גם בזכור לאברהם בלקוטים דף קפ"ג:
