Speak to Bnei Yisroel, saying: these are the living things that you may eat from among all the animals that are on the earth.

However, these in particular you may not eat of those that chew [**bring up**] their cud [**dissolved food**] and that have cloven hooves: the camel, for he chews [**brings up**] his cud [**dissolved food**] but does not have a split hoof it is unclean to you.
