מדרש מִנַיִן: נקרא כן מפני שרוב מאמריו מתחילין במלת **מִנַיִן**, והם לקוטים ממדרשי חז״ל ואיזה דינים.

"Midrash Minayin": It is named this way because most of its statements begin with the word "Minayin" (meaning "From where?"). They are compilations from the teachings of the sages (Chazal) and some laws.

המדרש הזה העתיק ווערטהיימר מספר **לקוטי מדרשים** כ״י הנכתב בארץ תימן, והוא נתן לו השם הזה והדפיסו בספרו **אוצר מדרשים כ״י**, ירושלם תרע"ג.

This midrash was transcribed by Wertheimer from a manuscript called "Lekutei Midrashim", which was written in Yemen. He gave it this name and printed it in his book "Otzar Midrashim" manuscript, Jerusalem, 1873.
