**והעורים הביטו לראות**כבר אמרו אין הבטה אלא ממעלה למטה לזה אמר תחלה הביטו כלומר שיעיינו ויסתכלו בברואים השפלים שהאדם הוא נעלם במדרגתו מהם ושייך בהם לשון הבטה ואמר שכינתו יהיה בהבטה זו כדי לראות על ידם חכמת הבורא ית' וז"א הביטו לראות:

**והחי יתן אל לבו**הרי אף שהמות הוא דבר ידוע לכל שהרי הוא דרך כל הארץ אעפ"כ צריך התבוננות ושום לב בסימן החכמה הנראה בו כמ"ש חז"ל והנה טוב זה המות ומובא לקמן בדברי המחבר:

**and the living will take it to his heart** -- Even though death is something everybody knows, since behold, it is the normal way of the world. Nevertheless, it requires contemplation and putting to heart on the sign of wisdom which is manifested in it, as our Sages expounded on the verse "behold it was good" - this refers to death (Midrash Bereishis Raba 9:5).
