We return the Seder plate to it's place on the table and continue with the Haggadah. The Matza should remain uncovered throughout Maggid but whenever one holds the cup with cover the Matza

עֲבָדִים הָיִינוּ לְפַרְעֹה בְּמִצְרָיִם. וַיּוֹצִיאֵנוּ יְהֹוָה אֱלֹהֵינוּ מִשָּׁם. בְּיָד חֲזָקָה. וּבִזְרוֹעַ נְטוּיָה. וְאִלּוּ לֹא הוֹצִיא הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא אֶת אֲבוֹתֵינוּ מִמִּצְרָיִם עֲדַיִין אֲנַחְנוּ וּבָנֵינוּ וּבְנֵי בָנֵינוּ. מְשֻׁעְבָּדִים הָיִינוּ לְפַרְעֹה בְמִצְרָיִם. וַאֲפִלּוּ כֻּלָּנוּ חֲכָמִים. כֻּלָּנוּ נְבוֹנִים. כֻּלָּנוּ יוֹדְעִים אֶת הַתּוֹרָה. מִצְוָה עָלֵינוּ לְסַפֵּר בִּיצִיאַת מִצְרַיִם. וְכָל-הַמַּרְבֶּה לְסַפֵּר בִּיצִיאַת מִצְרַיִם הֲרֵי זֶה מְשֻׁבָּח:

Escritos está: 'Escravos fomos para Par'oh em Mitzrayim, mas Adonai nosso Elohim nos tirou de lá com mão forte e braço estendido. E se o Kadosh Baruch Hu não tivesse tirado nossos antepassados de Mitzrayim, ainda seríamos nós, nossos filhos e os filhos de nossos filhos escravizados a Par'oh em Mitzrayim. E mesmo que todos nós sejamos sábios, todos nós inteligentes, todos nós conhecedores da Torá, ainda assim é um mandamento para nós narrar sobre a saída de Mitzrayim. E todo aquele que aumenta em narrar sobre a saída de Mitzrayim, eis que este é louvável.'
