## Proverbs Chapter 16

###### Proverbs 16:1

לְאָדָ֥ם מַעַרְכֵי־לֵ֑ב וּ֝מֵיְהֹוָ֗ה מַעֲנֵ֥ה לָשֽׁוֹן׃

The thoughts of the heart are man’s, but from the Lord comes the utterance of the tongue.

All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes; but the Lord weighs the spirits.

Everyone that is proud in heart is an abomination to the Lord: those who join hands in an evil cause shall not go unpunished.

By loyalty and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the Lord men depart from evil.

A divine sentence is in the lips of the king: his mouth does not transgress in judgment.

A just weight and balance are the Lord’s: all the weights in the bag are his work.

It is an abomination to kings to commit wickedness: for a throne is established by righteousness.

How much better is it to get wisdom than gold! and to get understanding is preferable to silver!

The highway of the upright is to depart from evil: he that guards his path preserves his soul.

The wise in heart shall be called prudent: and the sweetness of the lips increases learning.
