נָכ֣וֹן לִבִּ֣י אֱלֹהִ֑ים אָשִׁ֥ירָה וַ֝אֲזַמְּרָ֗ה אַף־כְּבוֹדִֽי׃

My heart is firm, O God; I will sing, I will give praise; my glory likewise.

My heart is steadfast [with You], O G d; I shall sing and make song — my soul, too.

ע֭וּרָֽה הַנֵּ֥בֶל וְכִנּ֗וֹר אָעִ֥ירָה שָּֽׁחַר׃

Awake the harp and the lyre: I will awaken the dawn.

Awake [me] O psaltery and harp — I shall awake the dawn [(unlike other kings, whom the dawn awakes)].

אוֹדְךָ֖ בָעַמִּ֥ים׀יְהֹוָ֑ה וַ֝אֲזַמֶּרְךָ֗ בַּלְאֻמִּֽים׃

I will praise Thee, O Lord, among the peoples: and I will sing praises to Thee among the nations.

כִּי־גָד֣וֹל מֵעַל־שָׁמַ֣יִם חַסְדֶּ֑ךָ וְֽעַד־שְׁחָקִ֥ים אֲמִתֶּֽךָ׃

For Thy steadfast love is great above the heavens: and Thy truth reaches the clouds.

For great above the heavens is Your lovingkindness [(for those who serve for the sake of Heaven)]; Your truth reaches unto the skies.

Be Thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: and Thy glory above all the earth;

לְ֭מַעַן יֵחָלְצ֣וּן יְדִידֶ֑יךָ הוֹשִׁ֖יעָה יְמִֽינְךָ֣ וַעֲנֵֽנִי׃

that Thy beloved ones may be delivered: save with Thy right hand, and answer me.

אֱלֹהִ֤ים**׀** דִּבֶּ֥ר בְּקׇדְשׁ֗וֹ אֶ֫עְלֹ֥זָה אֲחַלְּקָ֥ה שְׁכֶ֑ם וְעֵ֖מֶק סֻכּ֣וֹת אֲמַדֵּֽד׃

God has spoken in his holiness; I will rejoice, I will divide Shekhem, and measure out the valley of Sukkot.

G d spoke [through the prophets] in His holy spirit [that] I would [reign and] rejoice [in His word], [that] I would apportion lots [(from the land of my foes to Israel)], [that] I would mete out the vale of Succoth.

לִ֤י גִלְעָ֨ד**׀** לִ֤י מְנַשֶּׁ֗ה וְ֭אֶפְרַיִם מָע֣וֹז רֹאשִׁ֑י יְ֝הוּדָ֗ה מְחֹקְקִֽי׃

Gil῾ad is mine; Menashshe is mine; Efrayim also is the strength of my head; Yehuda is my sceptre;

מוֹאָ֤ב**׀** סִ֬יר רַחְצִ֗י עַל־אֱ֭דוֹם אַשְׁלִ֣יךְ נַעֲלִ֑י עֲלֵי־פְ֝לֶ֗שֶׁת אֶתְרוֹעָֽע׃

Mo᾽av is my washpot; over Edom will I cast my shoe; over Peleshet I will cry in triumph.

Moav is the basin of my washing [i.e., my handservant]. Upon Plesheth I will cast my shoe [i.e., the service of shodding me]. Over Plesheth I will shout [(to affright them)].


###### Psalms 108:11

מִ֣י יֹ֭בִלֵנִי עִ֣יר מִבְצָ֑ר מִ֖י נָחַ֣נִי עַד־אֱדֽוֹם׃

Who will bring me into the strong city? who will lead me to Edom?

Who will lead me [in the days of the Messiah] to the fortified city [(i.e., to assail Esav in his fortified cities)]? He who has [already] led me until Edom [(of whom I smote eighteen thousand in the Valley of Salt)].

הֲלֹֽא־אֱלֹהִ֥ים זְנַחְתָּ֑נוּ וְֽלֹא־תֵצֵ֥א אֱ֝לֹהִ֗ים בְּצִבְאֹתֵֽינוּ׃

Hast Thou not rejected us, O God? so that Thou goest not forth, O God, with our hosts.

###### Psalms 108:13

הָבָה־לָּ֣נוּ עֶזְרָ֣ת מִצָּ֑ר וְ֝שָׁ֗וְא תְּשׁוּעַ֥ת אָדָֽם׃

Give us help against the foe: for vain is the help of man.

Give to us succor from the oppressor; for vain is the salvation of man.


###### Psalms 108:14

בֵּאלֹהִ֥ים נַֽעֲשֶׂה־חָ֑יִל וְ֝ה֗וּא יָב֥וּס צָרֵֽינוּ׃{פ}

Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is who will tread down our enemies.
