###### Psalms 24:1

לְדָוִ֗ד מִ֫זְמ֥וֹר לַֽ֭יהֹוָה הָאָ֣רֶץ וּמְלוֹאָ֑הּ תֵּ֝בֵ֗ל וְיֹ֣שְׁבֵי בָֽהּ׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
A Psalm of David. The earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell in it.

**The Rashi Ketuvim by Rabbi Shraga Silverstein:**
Of David, a psalm [(First the Shechinah rested upon him, and then he sang)]. The earth [(Eretz Yisrael)] is the L rd's and the fulness thereof, the [rest of the] world and the dwellers therein.


###### Psalms 24:2

כִּי־ה֭וּא עַל־יַמִּ֣ים יְסָדָ֑הּ וְעַל־נְ֝הָר֗וֹת יְכוֹנְנֶֽהָ׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
For he has founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.

**The Rashi Ketuvim by Rabbi Shraga Silverstein:**
For He has founded it upon the seas [(Seven seas surround Eretz Yisrael)], and established it upon [(four)] rivers.


###### Psalms 24:3

מִֽי־יַעֲלֶ֥ה בְהַר־יְהֹוָ֑ה וּמִי־יָ֝ק֗וּם בִּמְק֥וֹם קׇדְשֽׁוֹ׃

Who shall ascend into the mountain of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place?

[But though all the earth-dwellers are His,] who shall ascend the mount of the L rd, and who shall stand in His holy place?


###### Psalms 24:4

נְקִ֥י כַפַּ֗יִם וּֽבַר־לֵ֫בָ֥ב אֲשֶׁ֤ר**׀** לֹא־נָשָׂ֣א לַשָּׁ֣וְא נַפְשִׁ֑י וְלֹ֖א נִשְׁבַּ֣ע לְמִרְמָֽה׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
He that has clean hands, and a pure heart; who has not taken my name in vain, nor sworn deceitfully.

**The Rashi Ketuvim by Rabbi Shraga Silverstein:**
[Only] the clean of hand and the pure of heart, who did not take My name in vain and did not swear in deceit.


###### Psalms 24:5

יִשָּׂ֣א בְ֭רָכָה מֵאֵ֣ת יְהֹוָ֑ה וּ֝צְדָקָ֗ה מֵאֱלֹהֵ֥י יִשְׁעֽוֹ׃

He shall receive a blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

He shall bear a blessing from the L rd and righteousness from the G d of his salvation.


###### Psalms 24:6

זֶ֭ה דּ֣וֹר דֹּרְשָׁ֑ו מְבַקְשֵׁ֨י פָנֶ֖יךָ יַעֲקֹ֣ב סֶֽלָה׃

This is Ya῾aqov, the generation of those who seek him, that seek Thy face. (Sela.)

This [i.e., one such as he] is [i.e., exemplifies] the generation of His seekers, those who seek Your face, Yaakov, forever.


###### Psalms 24:7

שְׂא֤וּ שְׁעָרִ֨ים**׀** רָֽאשֵׁיכֶ֗ם וְֽ֭הִנָּשְׂאוּ פִּתְחֵ֣י עוֹלָ֑ם וְ֝יָב֗וֹא מֶ֣לֶךְ הַכָּבֽוֹד׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
Lift up your heads, O you gates; and be lifted up, you everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.

[You] gates, lift your heads and be uplifted, [you] everlasting [i.e., everlastingly sacred] portals, that the King of Glory may enter. [(When Solomon wished to bring the ark into the holy of holies, the Temple gates would not open until the merits of David were invoked [viz. II Chronicles 6:42])].


###### Psalms 24:8

מִ֥י זֶה֮ מֶ֤לֶךְ הַכָּ֫ב֥וֹד יְ֭הֹוָה עִזּ֣וּז וְגִבּ֑וֹר יְ֝הֹוָ֗ה גִּבּ֥וֹר מִלְחָמָֽה׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.

Who is this King of Glory? The L rd, mighty and strong, the L rd, strong in war.

Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory. (Sela.)
