###### Psalms 61:1

לַמְנַצֵּ֬חַ׀עַֽל־נְגִינַ֬ת לְדָוִֽד׃

###### Psalms 61:2

שִׁמְעָ֣ה אֱ֭לֹהִים רִנָּתִ֑י הַ֝קְשִׁ֗יבָה תְּפִלָּתִֽי׃

Hear my cry, O God; attend to my prayer.

Hear, O G d, my song. Give heed to my prayer.


###### Psalms 61:3

מִקְצֵ֤ה הָאָ֨רֶץ**׀** אֵלֶ֣יךָ אֶ֭קְרָא בַּעֲטֹ֣ף לִבִּ֑י בְּצוּר־יָר֖וּם מִמֶּ֣נִּי תַנְחֵֽנִי׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
From the end of the earth I will cry to Thee, when my heart faints. lead me to the rock that is too high for me.

[(Although I find myself)] from the ends of the earth [i.e., very far from those who would battle against my enemies], upon You do I call when my heart fails [(because of their absence)]. [My prayer:] Lead me over a rock [i.e., a foe] raised above me [i.e., stronger than I].


###### Psalms 61:4

כִּֽי־הָיִ֣יתָ מַחְסֶ֣ה לִ֑י מִגְדַּל־עֹ֝֗ז מִפְּנֵ֥י אוֹיֵֽב׃

For Thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy.

For You were [ever] a shelter to me, a tower of strength against the foe.


###### Psalms 61:5

אָג֣וּרָה בְ֭אׇהׇלְךָ עוֹלָמִ֑ים אֶ֥חֱסֶ֨ה בְסֵ֖תֶר כְּנָפֶ֣יךָ סֶּֽלָה׃

I will abide in Thy tent for ever: I will trust in the covert of Thy wings. (Sela.)

Let me dwell in Your tent forever [(in this world and the next)]; let me find shelter in the covert of Your wings forever.

כִּֽי־אַתָּ֣ה אֱ֭לֹהִים שָׁמַ֣עְתָּ לִנְדָרָ֑י נָתַ֥תָּ יְ֝רֻשַּׁ֗ת יִרְאֵ֥י שְׁמֶֽךָ׃

For Thou, O God, hast heard my vows: Thou hast granted the heritage of those who fear Thy name.

For You, O G d, have [ever] heard my vows. You have restored [through me] the inheritance of the fearers of Your name.


###### Psalms 61:7

יָמִ֣ים עַל־יְמֵי־מֶ֣לֶךְ תּוֹסִ֑יף שְׁ֝נוֹתָ֗יו כְּמוֹ־דֹ֥ר וָדֹֽר׃

Prolong the king’s life: may his years be as many generations.

[Therefore,] add [more] days over the [decreed] days of the king [David], [so that] his years [be as those of all] the generations [i.e., seventy years].


###### Psalms 61:8

יֵשֵׁ֣ב ע֭וֹלָם לִפְנֵ֣י אֱלֹהִ֑ים חֶ֥סֶד וֶ֝אֱמֶ֗ת מַ֣ן יִנְצְרֻֽהוּ׃

May he be enthroned before God for ever: O appoint love and truth, that they may preserve him.

Let him always sit before G d. Let [the] lovingkindness and [the] truth [(that he upholds)] be appointed to guard him.


###### Psalms 61:9

כֵּ֤ן אֲזַמְּרָ֣ה שִׁמְךָ֣ לָעַ֑ד לְֽשַׁלְּמִ֥י נְ֝דָרַ֗י י֣וֹם׀יֽוֹם׃{פ}

So will I sing praise to Thy name for ever, as I perform my vows day by day.

Thus [(as You vouchsafe good to me)] shall I sing Your name forever in payment of my vows, day by day.
