משום דאדם נאמן על עצמו. בדבר שאינו לא חיוב מיתה ולא חיוב מלקות ולא חיוב ממון אלא חיוב כפרה והוא אומר אינו צריך נאמן יותר ממאה עדים:

למיפשט מינה אטומאה. אי אמרי ליה נטמאת ונכנסת למקדש וחייב קרבן והוא אומר לא נטמאתי:

אפילו בטומאה נמי אדם נאמן ופטור ולא שנא טומאה חדשה דאמרי ליה נטמאת היום והיום נכנסת למקדש ולא שנא טומאה ישנה דאמרי ליה נטמאת אתמול והיום נכנסת למקדש כי אמר לא נטמאתי פטור דאדם נאמן על עצמו:

אבל טומאה חדשה מיחייב. דליכא למימר מיגו דאמרי ליה העדים השתא נטמאת ולא טבלת ונכנסת למקדש עכשיו מאי¹ (פשיטא כו'. אמר להו ק"ו עדיף ועיקר אע"ג דאיכא מיגו):

בטומאה ישנה קא מיירי דאיכא למימר מיגו כדאמר לעיל מיגו דאי בעי אמר טבלתי ופטור כי אמר נמי לא נטמאתי כו'. הילכך אדם נאמן על עצמו:

אפי' הכי איצטריך הא ברייתא מהו דתימא אכלתי חלב הוא דקא מתרץ דיבוריה למימר מיגו דמצי אמר לא אכלתי שוגג אלא מזיד כי אמר נמי לא אכלתי פטור:

אבל הוא אמר לא נטמאתי. לא מתרץ דיבוריה למימר לא ניטמאתי שוגג אלא מזיד דאפי' אם נטמא במזיד טמא הוי וכי נכנס בשוגג במקדש חייב לאיי הכא נמי מתרץ דיבורא למימר מיגו דאי בעי אמר טבלתי מאי לא נטמאתי נמי לא עמדתי בטומאה אלא טבלתי:

ובביאת מקדש. דאדם נאמן על עצמו שאם אמרו לו ב' נטמאת ונכנסת למקדש והוא אומר לא נכנסתי שוגג אלא מזיד דפטור מן הקרבן דאינו מכחיש את העדים דלא נטמא אלא נטמא ונכנס מזיד:
