מה היו עושין בה היו מפרישין הימנו שכר האומנין ומחללין אותה על מעות האומנין. דהכי אמר שמואל במסכ' מעילה [ד' יד ע"א] בונין בחול ואח"כ מקדישין. כלומר היו קונין האומנין משלהן צורכי הבנין ומתקנין אותו וכשהיה מתוקן היו הגזברים נוטלין מעות הקדש כשיעור שנתנו האומנין ומחללן קדושתו על הבנין והיה הבנין קודש והמעות של הקדש יצאו לחולין ואח"כ מביאין מותר הקטרת כשיעור אותן מעות דמי האומנין ומחללין הקטרת על אותן מעות שהיו של הקדש וחזרו הן בקדושתן והקטרת יצאת לחולין:

ונותנין אותה לאומנין בשכרן. אותן מעות היו נותנין לבית גרמי ובית אבטינס בשכרן וחוזרין ולוקחין אותה קטרת מן האומנין מתרומה חדשה מדמי הלשכה ומערבין אותה עם הקטרת חדשה והויא כולה חדשה הואיל ומתרומה חדשה נקנית ואם הקדיש האומן נכסיו בשעה עד שהיה הקטרת בידו באותה קטורת מיירי דמעשיה היו בקדש ולא קשיא:
