**כַּנֵּד.** לְשׁוֹן גּוֹבַהּ, וְכֵן תַּרְגּוּם אוּנְקְלוֹס ״נִצְּבוּ כְמוֹ נֵד״ (שמות טו:ח): ״קָמוּ כְשׁוּר״, וְכֵן פֵּרֵשׁ מְנַחֵם, וְאֵין ׳נֵד׳ וְ׳נֹאד׳ שָׁוִין:
