הצמא לשתות מים לא יברך ואח"כ ישפוך מהם אלא שופך מהם ואחר כך מברך ושותה. ולא ישתה מהם ויתן לתלמידיו אא"כ שפך מהם שמא איסטיניס הוא ולא ישתה מהם וימות בצמא:

He who is thirsty let him not bless and then pour off ¹ but pour off first and then bless and drink; let him not drink and then give to his students, only if he poured off therefrom, lest the student be delicate and will not drink and die of thirst.²
