השמר לך אל תשב עם אדם שלא תלמוד ממנו טובה כי אוי לו ואוי לנפשו ועוד שתגרום שיחשדוך בדבר רע כי יאמרו לא על חנם הלך זה אצלו ובך יתלו כל מעשיו הרעים:

Guard yourself, do not sit with a man from whom you cannot learn good, ¹ ed. Phillipawski, p. 15. for woe unto him and woe unto his soul.² Moreover, you will cause others to suspect you of some evil matter, for they will say, “Not without cause did he go to him,”³ and they will attribute to you all his evil deeds.
