**שֶׁלֹּא יְגָרְשֶׁנָּה כָּל יָמָיו** – שֶׁנִּמְנַע מוֹצִיא שֵׁם רַע עַל אִשְׁתּוֹ וְנִמְצָא שַׁקְרָן בִּדְבָרָיו שֶׁלֹּא לְגָרְשָׁהּ לְעוֹלָם, וְעַל זֶה נֶאֱמַר (דברים כב יט) לֹא יוּכַל לְשַׁלְּחָהּ כָּל יָמָיו.

**Sefer HaChinukh, translated by R. Francis Nataf, Sefaria 2018:**
**That he should not divorce her all of his days:** That one who puts out a bad name about his wife and is found to be a liar with his words is prevented from divorcing her forever. And about this is it stated (Deuteronomy 22:19), “he may not send her away all of his days.”

מִשָּׁרְשֵׁי הַמִּצְוָה. וְכֵיצַד הוֹצָאַת שֵׁם רַע וּקְצָת דִּינֶיהָ כְּמִנְהָגִי כָּתַבְתִּי בְּמִצְוַת עֲשֵׂה שֶׁלּוֹ שֶׁבְּסֵדֶר זֶה (מצוה תקנג), וְקָחֶנּוּ מִשָּׁם.
