אחר שכפל את המתנה הזאת שנתן לנו את השבת ובשבת קרבנו לפני הר סיני והראנו שכינתו עין בעין והשמיענו קולו אשר לא שמע עם אחר כמונו ויחי. אם קרבנו לפני הר סיני ולא נתן לנו את התורה הרי זו חיבה יתירה ודי לנו.

**Rabbi Mark Greenspan:**
Then he brought us close to Mount Sinai and allowed us to see His divine presence with our own eyes, and allowed us to hear his voice unlike anyone who heard it and lived. (That is the meaning of,) **If He brought us to Mount Sinai, but had he not given us the Torah,** this would have been enough of a miracle for us!
