**דיני האש ביום טוב. ובו ד סעיפים:**
אין מוציאין האש לא מן העצים ולא מן האבנים ולא מן העפר ולא מן המים ואין עושים פחמים ואין נופחין במפוח אלא בשפופרת ונהגו היתר במפוח של בעלי בתים ע"י שינוי להפכו מלמעלה למטה: הגה ומותר לכסות האש בכלי או בעפר מוכן אם אינו מכבהו ודוקא לצורך יום טוב ראשון אבל לצורך יום טוב שני אסור (מהרי"ל) : העושה מדור' בי"ט כשהוא עורך את העצים אינו מניח זה על זה עד שיסדר המערכה מפני שנראה כבונה אלא או שופך העצים בעירבוב או עורך בשינוי כיצד מניח עץ למעלה ומניח אחר תחתיו ואחר תחתיו עד שהוא מגיע לארץ וכן הקדרה אוחז אות' ומכניס האבנים תחתיה אבל לא יניחנה על גבי האבנים וכן המטה אוחז (הקרשים) למעלה ומכניס הרגלים תחתיהם אפילו ביצים לא יעמיד אותם שורה על גבי שורה עד שיעמדו כמו מגדל אלא ישנה ויתחיל מלמעלה למטה וכן כל כיוצא בזה צריך שינוי: הגה וכן שלחן שיש לו דפנות המגיעות לארץ (תוספות) צריך שנוי אבל מותר להושיב שלחן שלנו על רגליו ואין בזה משום בנין ויש אומרים דאפי' מגיע לארץ כל זמן שאינו צריך לאויר של תחתיו שרי: (טור)

**Mishna Berura Yomi:**
**Laws of fire on Yom Tov. 4 sections:**
 One may not produce fire from wood, stones, earth, or water; one may not make charcoal; one may not blow with bellows but only with a tube — and the custom has been to permit using household bellows with a change by inverting it from top to bottom. Rema: It is permitted to cover a fire with a vessel or with prepared earth if one does not extinguish it, and specifically for the needs of the first day of Yom Tov — but for the needs of the second day it is forbidden. (Maharil) One who makes a bonfire on Yom Tov — when arranging the wood he does not place one piece on top of another until the arrangement is complete, since it appears like building; rather he either throws the wood in a jumbled manner or arranges it with a change. How so? He places a piece on top and then puts another beneath it and another beneath that until he reaches the ground. Similarly with a pot — he holds it and places the stones beneath it, but does not place it on top of the stones. Similarly with a bed — he holds the boards above and inserts the legs beneath them. Even eggs one should not stack row upon row like a tower, but should change and start from top to bottom. Similarly all such things require a change. Rema: Similarly a table with sides that reach the ground (Tosafot) requires a change. But it is permitted to set up our ordinary table on its legs and there is no concern of building. Some say that even if it reaches the ground, as long as one does not need the airspace beneath it, it is permitted. (Tur)

אגודה של עצים שהודלקה במדורה כל עץ שלא אחזה בו האש מותר לשמטו ואינו דומה למסיר שמן מהנר: הגה ומותר ליקח עץ הדולק מצד זה של מדורה ולהניחו בצד אחר הואיל ואינו מכוין לכבוי (מרדכי):

**Mishna Berura Yomi:**
A bundle of wood that was lit in a bonfire — any piece of wood not yet caught by the fire may be pulled out, and this is not comparable to removing oil from a lamp. Rema: It is permitted to take a burning piece of wood from one side of the bonfire and place it on the other side, since one does not intend to extinguish it. (Mordechai)

אין סומכין את הקדרה ולא את הדלת בבקעת: הגה אבל מותר לצלות בו (הרי"ף) וכ"ש שמותר להסיק בו עם שאר עצים אע"ג שאינו ראוי להסיק בפני עצמו: (ר"ן)

**Mishna Berura Yomi:**
One may not use a piece of split wood to prop up a pot or a door. Rema: But it is permitted to roast with it. (Rif) All the more so it is permitted to kindle with it together with other wood, even though it is not suitable for kindling on its own. (Ran)

לדידן מותר לבשל בקדרות חדשות ביום טוב: הגה ויש אוסרין (הרא"ש והטור) וכן המנהג אם לא על ידי הדחק ולכן נהגו כשקונין קדרות חדשות בפסח מבשלים בהן קודם י"ט: (ד"ע)

**Mishna Berura Yomi:**
According to our practice it is permitted to cook in new pots on Yom Tov. Rema: Some forbid it (Rosh and Tur) and this is the custom, except in a pressing situation. Therefore the custom is that when one buys new pots for Pesach one cooks in them before Yom Tov. (own opinion)
