**סדר קריאת התורה בראש השנה. ובו ד סעיפים:**
אין אומרים הלל בראש השנה ויום הכיפורים: הגה ונוהגין לומר אבינו מלכנו על הסדר ואם הוא שבת אין אומרים אותו (ר"ן פ"ב דר"ה וריב"ש סי' תקי"ב) ומאריכים בפיוטים ותפלות עד חצות: (מהרי"ל):

**Mishna Berura Yomi:**
We do not say hallel on Rosh HaShanah and also not on Yom Kippur. Rema: Our custom is to say Avinu Malkenu according to the order, but if it falls on Shabbat we do not say it. And we lengthen the piyutim and prayers until noon.

מוציאין ב' ס"ת באחד קורין חמשה מן וה' פקד את שרה עד ויהי אחר הדברים האלה ואם הוא שבת קורין בו ז' ומפטיר קורא בשני בפ' פנחס ובחודש השביעי ומפטיר ויהי איש אחד מן הרמתים עד וירם קרן משיחו: הגה ויש מקומות שנוהגים לקרות התוקע ממנין החמשה העולים לס"ת (כל בו):

**Mishna Berura Yomi:**
2. We take out two Torah scrolls. In the first one, we read five portions from "God attended Sarah" [Genesis 21:1] until "After these things" [Genesis 22:1]. If it is Shabbat, we read seven portions [from this selection]. The maftir reads from the second scroll from Pinchas, "In the seventh month..." [Numbers 29:1] and for the haftarah, "There was a man from Ramatayim" [1 Samuel 1:1] until "He will bring triumph to His annointed one" [1 Samuel 2:10]. Rem"a: Some places have the custom of calling up the shofar blower for one of the five aliyot to the Torah (Kol Bo).

בני אדם החבושים בבית האסורים אין מביאין אצלם ס"ת אפי' בר"ה ויום הכפורים (וע' לעיל סוף סי' קל"ה):

3. We do not bring a sefer Torah to people confined in prison, even on Rosh haShanna and Yom Kippur *(see above, end of Orach Chaim 135:1).*
