סִפֵּר בְּשִׁבְחוֹ: שֶׁיָּדַע כָּל דִּבְרֵי הָ"עֵץ חַיִּים" וּ"פְרִי עֵץ הַחַיִּים" וְכָל כִּתְבֵי הָאֲרִ"י ז"ל מִסֵּפֶר הַזֹּהַר וְהָעִקָּר מֵהַתִּקּוּנִים. וְהַמּוּבָן מִדְּבָרָיו הָיָה שֶׁזֶּה הָיָה בִּימֵי נְעוּרָיו.

The Rebbe once mentioned that he knew the entire *Etz Chaim*¹⁹⁹ and *Pri Etz Chaim*,²⁰⁰ as well as all the works of the holy Ari²⁰¹ ("Eight Gates"). These are eight major volumes which apply the Ari's teachings to various aspects of Judaism. They are: *Sha'ar HaHakdamot* ("The Gate of Introductions"), *Sha'ar Ma'amarey Rashbi* ("The Gate of Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai's Sayings"), *Sha'ar Ma'amarey Chazal* ("The Gate of Our Sages' Sayings"), *Sha'ar HaPesukim* ("The Gate of Scriptural Verses"), *Sha'ar HaMitzvot* ("The Gate of the Commandments"), *Sha'ar HaKavanot* ("The Gate of Intentions"), *Sha'ar Ruach HaKodesh* ("The Gate of Divine Inspiration"), and *Sha'ar HaGilgulim* ("The Gate of Reincarnations"). A number of other works are also included in the Ari's writings. and the *Zohar* and *Tikkuney Zohar*. From the way he said it, it was obvious that he had achieved this in his youth.

וְהִפְלִיג מְאֹד כַּמָּה פְּעָמִים בְּשֶׁבַח גְּדֻלַּת קְדֻשַּׁת הַתִּקּוּנֵי זֹהַר. וְהָיָה רָגִיל לַעֲסֹק בּוֹ בְּיוֹתֵר גַּם בְּכָל הַשָּׁנָה אֲפִלּוּ שֶׁלֹּא בִּימֵי אֱלוּל. וְאָמַר שֶׁבְּסֵפֶר הַתִּקּוּנִים כְּלוּלִים כָּל הַחָכְמוֹת שֶׁבָּעוֹלָם וְכוּ'.

The Rebbe emphasized the importance and holiness of the *Tikkuney Zohar* many times. He spent much time studying and reviewing it, and not only during the month of Elul. He once said, “The *Tikkuney Zohar* contains all the wisdom in the world” (see “*His Wisdom*” #285).
