הָיִיתִי מִסְתַּכֵּל עַל אֲכִילָתוֹ. וְהָיָה מִתְכַּוֵּן שֶׁלֹּא לְהַכְנִיס הַדָּבָר שֶׁאוֹכֵל לְתוֹךְ הַפֶּה וְהַחֵךְ. רַק הָיָה מַכְנִיס בֵּין שִׁנָּיו וְהָיָה לוֹעֲסוֹ שָׁם בְּלִי סִיּוּעַ הַחֵךְ. וּמִי שֶׁאוֹכֵל כָּךְ כִּמְעַט שֶׁאֵין מַרְגִּישׁ שׁוּם טַעַם בַּאֲכִילָתוֹ.

I used to watch closely when the Rebbe ate. He would keep his food between his teeth without letting it touch his palate. In this manner, he barely tasted his food.

וְאִי אֶפְשָׁר לְצַיֵּר עִנְיָן זֶה בִּכְתָב אַךְ הַמְעַיֵּן יָבִין זֹאת מֵעַצְמוֹ. וּמִי שֶׁרוֹצֶה לִשְׁבֹּר תַּאֲוַת אֲכִילָה בְּתַכְלִית שֶׁלֹּא יְקַבֵּל שׁוּם תַּעֲנוּג מֵאֲכִילָתוֹ, עַל יְדֵי עֵצָה זֹאת בְּנָקֵל יִזְכֶּה לָזֶה.

This is very difficult to describe in writing, but you can try it yourself and understand. And if you wish to subjugate your appetite for food, it is an excellent method.
