שָׁמַעְתִּי מִפִּיו הַקָּדוֹשׁ פַּעַם אֶחָד, שֶׁדִּבֵּר בְּהַפְלָגַת גְּדֻלּוֹת סוֹדוֹת נוֹרְאוֹת תּוֹרָתֵנוּ הַקְּדוֹשָׁה.

אָמַר: הֲלֹא כָּל סֵפֶר תִּקּוּנִים הוּא עַל תֵּבַת 'בְּרֵאשִׁית' לְבַד.

He said, “The entire *Tikkuney Zohar* (a work of seventy chapters) is but a commentary on the one word, *Bereshit* ("In the beginning"), the first word in the Torah.

וְעַל סֵפֶר הַתִּקּוּנִים לְבַד לֹא יַסְפִּיקוּ אֲלָפִים סְפָרִים לְבָאֵר עֹצֶם רִבּוּי הַסּוֹדוֹת שֶׁיֵּשׁ שָׁם, אֲשֶׁר לֹא יְכִילֵם הָעִיּוּן, כַּיָּדוּעַ לַכֹּל גְּדֻלַּת קְדֻשַּׁת הַתִּקּוּנִים הַקָּדוֹשׁ, אֲשֶׁר כָּל עוֹרוֹת אֵילֵי נְבָיוֹת לֹא יַסְפִּיקוּ לְבָאֵר סוֹדוֹתָיו וּרְמִיזוֹתָיו וְכוּ'. וְכָל סֵפֶר הַתִּקּוּנִים עִם כָּל מַה שֶּׁנִּכְלָל בּוֹ כַּנַּ"ל הוּא רַק פֵּרוּשׁ עַל תֵּבַת 'בְּרֵאשִׁית' לְבַד.

“Thousands of volumes would not suffice to explain all the secrets found in the *Tikkuney Zohar*. Its study has no end. So great is the *Tikkuney Zohar* that all the skins of Neviot (Isaiah 60:7; cf. *Bava Kama* 92a) would not be sufficient to contain its wisdom. All this is but a commentary on a single word, *Bereshit*.

“Take the next word, *bara* ("He created"). A volume equal to the *Tikkuney Zohar* could also be written on it. It would contain an equal number of mysteries.

וּמִזֶּה יְכוֹלִין לְהָבִין וּלְשַׁעֵר קְצָת גַּבְהוּת עַמְקוּת תּוֹרָתֵנוּ הַקְּדוֹשָׁה, כִּי כֵן עַל כָּל תֵּבָה וְתֵבָה שֶׁל הַתּוֹרָה יֵשׁ סוֹדוֹת רַבּוֹת כְּמוֹ אֵלּוּ הַסּוֹדוֹת הַכְּלוּלִים בְּ"סֵפֶר הַתִּקּוּנִים" שֶׁהוּא עַל תֵּבַת בְּרֵאשִׁית לְבַד.

וְעַתָּה, כְּלָלִיּוּת הַתּוֹרָה הַקְּדוֹשָׁה שֶׁיֵּשׁ בָּה הַרְבֵּה תֵּבוֹת כָּאֵלּוּ, מַה גָּדְלוּ סוֹדוֹתֶיהָ. אֲשֶׁר אִי אֶפְשָׁר לְבָאֵר וּלְדַבֵּר מִזֶּה כְּלָל!.
