פַּעַם אַחַת עָמַדְתִּי לְפָנָיו וְהוּא ז"ל הָיָה מֻנָּח עַל מִטָּתוֹ וְנִזְרְקוּ דִּבּוּרִים אֵלּוּ מִתּוֹךְ פִּיו הַקָּדוֹשׁ וְאָמַר בְּזוֹ הַלָּשׁוֹן: הָעִקָּר הוּא: מִבֶּטֶן שְׁאוֹל שִׁוַּעְתִּי (דֶּער עִקָּר אִיז "מִבֶּטֶן שְׁאוֹל שִׁוַּעְתִּי").

I was once standing before the Rebbe as he lay in his bed. These words flew out of his holy mouth: “*Der iker is: Mi-beten sheol shivati!* – The crucial thing is: 'From the belly of hell I cried out!'” (Jonah 2:3; *Alim LeTerufah* #60).
