**שְׁמַע קוֹלֵֽנוּ** יְהֹוָה אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ חוּס וְרַחֵם עָלֵֽינוּ וְקַבֵּל בְּרַחֲמִים וּבְרָצוֹן אֶת־תְּפִלָּתֵֽנוּ כִּי אֵל שׁוֹמֵֽעַ תְּפִלּוֹת וְתַחֲנוּנִים אָֽתָּה וּמִלְּפָנֶֽיךָ מַלְכֵּֽנוּ רֵיקָם אַל־תְּשִׁיבֵֽנוּ

**Sefaria Community Translation:**
Hear our voice, Adonoy, our God;⁴² spare us and have compassion on us, and accept our prayers compassionately and willingly, for You are Almighty Who hears prayers and supplications; and do not turn us away empty-handed from Your Presence, our King,⁴³ for You hear the prayers of Your people, Israel, with compassion. Blessed are You, Adonoy, Who hears prayers.

**עֲנֵֽנוּ** יְהֹוָה עֲנֵֽנוּ בְּיוֹם צוֹם תַּעֲנִיתֵֽנוּ. כִּי בְצָרָה גְדוֹלָה אֲנָֽחְנוּ. אַל־תֵּֽפֶן אֶל־רִשְׁעֵֽנוּ וְאַל־תַּסְתֵּר פָּנֶֽיךָ מִמֶּֽנּוּ וְאַל־תִּתְעַלַּם מִתְּ֒חִנָּתֵֽנוּ. הֱיֵה נָא קָרוֹב לְשַׁוְעָתֵֽנוּ. יְהִי־נָא חַסְדְּ֒ךָ לְנַחֲמֵֽנוּ. טֶֽרֶם נִקְרָא אֵלֶֽיךָ עֲנֵֽנוּ. כַּדָּבָר שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר וְהָיָה טֶֽרֶם יִקְרָֽאוּ וַאֲנִי אֶעֱנֶה. עוֹד הֵם מְדַבְּ֒רִים וַאֲנִי אֶשְׁמָע. כִּי אַתָּה יְהֹוָה הָעוֹנֶה בְּעֵת צָרָה. פּוֹדֶה וּמַצִּיל בְּכָל־עֵת צָרָה וְצוּקָה:

**Sefaria Community Translation:**
Answer us, Adonoy, answer us on the day of our fasting, for we are in great trouble. Do not regard our wickedness, do not conceal Your countenance from us, and do not be unmindful of our supplication. Please be near to our cry, let Your loving kindness console us. Even before we call unto You, answer us, as it is said: “And it shall come to pass that before they call I will answer;⁸ while they are yet speaking, I will hear. For You, Adonoy, are the One Who answers in time of trouble, Who redeems and rescues in all times of trouble and distress.
