רכ) **ובאינון נשמתין דעאלין** וכו': ועם אלו הנשמות הנכנסות באותה החיה, שהיא המלכות, יוצאים כמה עופות, דהיינו מלאכים, הפורחים ומשוטטים בכל העולם. וכשנשמה יוצאת לעולם הזה, העוף ההוא, שפרח ויצא עם הנשמה הזו מאותו האילן, יוצא עמו. כמה מלאכים יוצאים עם כל נשמה ונשמה. שנים, אחד מימין ואחד משמאל. אם זוכה הם שומרים אותו. שכתוב, כי מלאכיו יצוה לך לשמרך. ואם לא, הם משטינים עליו. אמר רבי פנחס, שלשה מלאכים הם, הנמצאים מגינים על האדם, כשהוא זוכה. שכתוב, אם יש עליו מלאך מליץ אחד מני אלף להגיד לאדם ישרו: אם יש עליו **מלאך**, הרי אחד. **מליץ**, הרי שנים. **אחד** מני אלף להגיד לאדם ישרו הרי שלשה.

**The Sefaria Sulam, 2023:**
**220. “With those souls which enter, etc.”**
**With those souls which enter that creature** [*ḥaya*]**,** *Malkhut***, several flying creatures,** i. e., angels, **emerge.** [They] **fly and roam throughout the world. When a soul emerges to this world, that flying creature which flew and emerged with that soul, from that tree, emerges with it. How many angels emerge with each and every soul? Two: One on the right and one on the left. If he merits, they protect him, as it is stated: “For He will give His angels charge over you, to guard you”** [Psalms 91:11]. **And if not, they accuse him. Rabbi Pineḥas said: There are three** angels **that protect a person when he merits it, as it is stated: “If there is for him an angel, an intercessor, one out of a thousand, to vouch for a person’s uprightness”** [Job 33:23]. “If there is for him **an angel”** is one; **“an intercessor”** is two; **“one** out of a thousand, to vouch for a person’s uprightness” is three.
