מה) **אמר ר' יוסי** וכו': אר"י, ודאי כך הוא. ושמעתי ממאור הקדוש שהוא רבי שמעון, שאמר כך, אשר **ברא** היא מלה סתומה שמורה, שהמפתח סוגר ואינו פותח. ובעוד שהמפתח סוגר במלה **ברא**, לא היה העולם, ולא נתקיים, ותהו היה מחפה על הכל. וכשתהו זה שלט, לא היה העולם, ולא נתקיים.

**The Sefaria Sulam, 2023:**
**45. “Rabbi Yosei said etc.”**
**Rabbi Yosei said: That is certainly the case. And I heard from the Holy Luminary**, Rabbi Shimon, **that he said this, that *bara* (created) is a sealed word,** which shows that the key **closes and does not open. While** the key **closes with the word *bara*, there was no world and it did not exist, and emptiness covered everything. When that emptiness ruled, there was no world and it did not exist.**
