ב' מיני או"ח נבחנים מיד בעת זווג דהכאה: א' הוא אור הנדחה מלהתפשט בכלי מלכות, מפאת הכאת המסך, ואו"ח זה נבחן לאו"מ. ב' הוא דאו"ח הנולד על ידי יחס משותף מבחינת ההסתלקות והפרישה דבחי"ד מהאור, המתחבר עם האור הנדחה הנ"ל, והוא האוה"ח העולה ממטה למעלה ומלביש לע"ס דאו"י של ראש.

מין ג' הוא, האוה"ח הקבוע, במלכות של ראש, שהוא נעשה שם בבחינת מקור שממנו מושפעים ונובעים האורות והכלים לגוף.

מין ד' הוא, או"ח המתפשט ממלכות של ראש ולמטה, וממשיך ומלביש, לע"ס דאו"י המתפשטות עמו. והאוה"ח הזה נבחן, שהוא מעורב עם האור הישר. ואינו ניכר לבחינת לבוש וכלי, מטעם שחשיבותו שוה לאו"י.

מין ה' הוא, ההארה המועטת של או"י המושפעת למטה מטבור, שנקראת אור נקבה. והוא נקרא ג"כ או"ח.

מין ו' הוא, או"ח המסיים לכל ספירה וספירה, מע"ס שמטבור ולמטה, עד שמסיים הפרצוף כולו.

מין ז' הוא, האוה"ח שנקרא אור העב, הנשאר למטה בלי אור, אחר הסתלקות דאו"י. כי אז ניכרת העביות שבמהותו עצמו, מבחינת מה שהיתה נכללת בו עוד מטרם שנתפשט מן הפה ולמטה.

מין ח' היינו, או"ח שנתוספה לו עביות כפולה על עביותו, מחמת שנשאר אחר הסתלקות למטח בלי אור. והחושך הזה שהשיג עתה הוא עביות חדשה, מה שלא היה בו בטרם שנתפשט מהפה ולמטה.
