**"וְעַמֻּדִים** אֶל הָאֵילִים" אֵצֶל מְזוּזַת הַשַּׁעַר, "אֶחָד מִפֹּה" אֶל הַיָּמִין, "וְאֶחָד מִפֹּה" (יחזקאל מ, מט) אֶל הַשְּׂמֹאל, תַּחַת ¹ יָכִין וּבֹעַז שֶׁהָיוּ בְּמִקְדָּשׁ רִאשׁוֹן (מל"א ז, כא).

¹ הנה מידות העמודים של אולם בית השלישי לא נתפרשה מידתם. וצ”ע האם מידתם היא כמו האילים של שערי החצר, שנתפרשו בסימן ז, שגבהם שישים ורחבם שנים, או אפשר שיהיו כמו יכין ובועז שבבית ראשון, שגבהם שלושים ושש ורחבם ארבע אמות, כמ”ש במלכים (א ז טז).

“There were pillars near the doorposts, one on this side,” i.e. on the right, “and one on the other side,”¹49. i.e. on the left. These paralleled the Yachin and Boaz pillars that were present in the First *Beis HaMikdash*.² 7:21.
