(Ex. 22:30) *... you shall throw it to ‘the dog’* 
– for it is considered as unfit¹. 
And because of this, would the image of a dog descend, 
to accept that gift and offering, 
and this is the dog of which David, peace be upon him, said: 
(Ps. 22:21) *Save my soul from the sword, 
my unique-one* *from the hand of the dog*.
