פי' דבריו כי ירא פן יקרא עליו שם המות כשימות ולא יניח אחריו מאומה משא"כ אם האדם מניח אחריו דברי תורה עדן הוא בחיים אף אחר המות ומטעם זה צדיקים במיתתן נקראו חיים לא כן הרשעים.
