**אז יקראונני ולא אענה**הביא ראיה שהתשובה בעבור הצרות המגיעות אינה טובה כמו התשובה בקודם בוא עליו העונש כי שם נאמר עד מתי פתיים תאהבו פתי וגו' תשובו לתוכחתי הנה אביעה לכם רוחי, הרי שהתשובה קודם בוא העונש מקובלת ברצון ואף שהתשובה מועלת תמיד אפי' אחר בוא העונש ואפילו בהמדרגות שתחתיה היינו מחסד הקב"ה על האדם וכמו שאמרו באיכה רבתי שאלו לחכמה חוטא מהו ענשו אמרה חטאים תרדף רעה וכו' עד שאלו להקב"ה חוטא מהו ענשו אמר להם יעשה תשובה וכאן בפסוק שהביא מדבר ממה שהוא מצד החכמה וכמו שכתוב בראש המאמר חכמות בחוץ תרונה ועליה מוסב כל הענין:
