**מהם שלא ישימנה סבה להמרותו**שלא ישים הטובה שהשפיע עליו הבורא כלי משחית לחטוא בה כמו חכם בחכמתו ועשיר בעשרו. וגם לא יבעוט באלוה עושהו מרוב הטובה. כענין שנא' וישמן ישורון ויבעט:

to not make the good which the Creator has bestowed on him into a destructive tool to sin with, such as a wise man with his wisdom or a rich man with his wealth. Likewise, not to rebel against his Maker due to the great favors similar to (Devarim 32:15) "But Jeshurun grew fat, and kicked."

**נמבזה**נבזה כמו כל המלאכה נמבזה ונמס (שמואל ט"ו) שלא תהיה טובת האלהים עליו בזויה ופחותה בעיניו:

**ויתעלם מהודות הבורא**אשר שלח האדם הזה להפיק רצונו לפניו:

**שיתמידה בהשתדלותה וכו'**אם יתעסק בענין הטובה שעליו ובקיומה תתקיים עליו. ואם יעזוב השתדלות בה וחפוש אחרים תתעלם ממנו רק יאמין כי התמדתה תלוי ברצון האל ובגזירתו:

if he engages in that good and in its continuance, it will continue by him, but if he abandons exerting himself in it and seeking after it, it will leave him. Rather, he should believe that its continuance depends on the will of G-d and His decree.

**להראות מה שנסתר בו מרוע המצפון**כלומר ודאי שהשם יודע מחשבות אדם. רק רצה להראות לבני אדם רוע הלבב ותכונתו הרעה הצפונה בקרבו ורק להיותו חסר מן הטוב הוא מתחסד ומצטדק לעיני הבריות לחלישות כחו לפעול רעות לבני אדם. וגם שיהיה נראה לבריות כאיש צדיק וישר כדי שישביעוהו מטובם:

**ואם לא יוסיף במעשהו וכו'**אעפ"י שלא יוסיף במעשיו הטובים. לכל הפחות לא יגרע מעבודתו שהיה בה:

**על מי שהוא למטה ממנו וכו'**יעריך עצמו נגד בני אדם שטובותיהם מעוטות ממנו ויראה חסד אלהים עליו. לא שיקנא באותם שטוב להם ממנו:

He should estimate himself compared to other people whose bounties are less than his, thereby seeing the kindness of G-d towards him, instead of being jealous of those who have more bounties than him.

**וכן ראוי לו להיות וכו'**בעבודת השם יהיה בהפך לקנאות תמיד במי שעובד את ה' ממנו. ולא שיביא ראיה לעצמו מעבודות בני אדם הממעטים ממנו. וכמו שאמרו הראשונים ע"ד המליצה בשמים ממעל ועל הארץ מתחת רוצה לומר בדברים הנוגעים ליראת שמים יביט את אשר למעלה ממנו. ואשר נוגע לעניני הארץ ולתאות עולם יביט ממה שלמטה ממנו:
