כלל גדול השתוות. ופיר' שיהי' שוה אצלו אם יחזיקוהו לחסרון ידיעה או יודע בכל התורה כולה ודבר הגורם לזה הוא הדביקות בהבורא תדיר. שמחמת טרדות הדביקות אין לו פנאי לחשוב בדברים אלו שטרוד תמיד לדבק עצמו למעלה בו ית'.

Equanimity-*Hishtavut*-*השתוות* is a very important principle from the Baal Shem Tov, may his memory live on for the world to come. That is, it should be equal-*Shaveh*-*שוה* to you whether people consider you to be an ignoramus or knowledgeable in all of Torah. What brings this perspective about is constant adhesion (*Dveikut*) to *HaShem,* the Creator, blessed is He. Because your mind is so preoccupied with adhesion to *HaShem*, you have neither the time nor the interest to think about such matters. For you will be occupied in adhering to *HaShem* above, blessed is He.
