###### Zohar, Balak 10:1
[Zohar, Balak 10:1](https://torahapp.org/share/book/Zohar/s/Balak/r/10:1)

**The Zohar; London, Soncino Press, 1933:**
R. Eleazar then commenced to discourse on the verse: “O Lord, thou art my God, I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name, for thou hast done wonderful things” (Isa. 25, 1). ‘This verse’, he said, ‘contains the mystery of faith. “Lord” is the supreme mystery, the beginning of the supernal Point, the recondite and unknowable. “My God” refers to the still small Voice which is the first subject of interrogation.

###### Zohar, Balak 10:2
[Zohar, Balak 10:2](https://torahapp.org/share/book/Zohar/s/Balak/r/10:2)

and is also the supernal Priest. We have further laid down that there are three places each of which is called “thou”.

###### Zohar, Balak 10:3
[Zohar, Balak 10:3](https://torahapp.org/share/book/Zohar/s/Balak/r/10:3)

**The Zohar; London, Soncino Press, 1933:**
“I will exalt thee”: all together. “I will praise thy name”: in fitting manner, this being the known Name. “For thou hast done wonderful things,’: this is the secondary light with which is invested the hidden ancient primordial light, the supreme grade, the primordial Adam.

###### Zohar, Balak 10:4
[Zohar, Balak 10:4](https://torahapp.org/share/book/Zohar/s/Balak/r/10:4)

**The Zohar; London, Soncino Press, 1933:**
Rab Hamnuma the Elder said that “wonderful things” is a grade of the wonders of wisdom, to wit, “a path which no bird of prey knoweth” (Job 28, 7).

###### Zohar, Balak 10:5
[Zohar, Balak 10:5](https://torahapp.org/share/book/Zohar/s/Balak/r/10:5)

**The Zohar; London, Soncino Press, 1933:**
The “counsels of old” are the two willow twigs¹ and Hod. whence comes all the counsel of the prophets. “Faithfulness and truth” are two things which are one, the river and the garden; the one issues from Eden and the other is watered from it. Thus we have here the whole mystery of faith.’
