**The Zohar; London, Soncino Press, 1933:**
Fourth chapter. The Ancient One, [He is] hidden and concealed. The Small One of Faces, [He] is revealed and not revealed. He is revealed [as He is] written in characters. And He is covered, hidden in characters that are not settling themselves in His places, because in Him the upper ones and lower ones have not been settled.

**The Zohar; London, Soncino Press, 1933:**
"And God said: "Let the earth bring forth a living soul (נפש חיה) according to its species, cattle and creeping animals etc." [Genesis 1:24], this corresponds to what is written: "Man (Adam) and cattle did you bring forth, HaShem" [Psalms 36:7]. One is found in the sum of the other. Cattle in the totality of Adam, (Leviticus 1:2) "Man (Adam) if he brings from among you an offering to HaShem from cattle...", because it is included in the totality of Adam.

[Zohar, Sifra DiTzniuta 5:3](https://torahapp.org/share/book/Zohar/s/Sifra%20DiTzniuta/r/5:3)

**The Zohar; London, Soncino Press, 1933:**
When Adam of below went down in an upper image, two breaths were found [coming] from two sides, of the right and [of the] left is Adam comprised. Of the right: holy Neshama. Of the left: living soul. [When} Adam sinned, the left [side] was spread, and those that are not in a body were spread.

**The Zohar; London, Soncino Press, 1933:**
When they are being attached, this one to this one, they are born as this living being that begets numerous (spirits) in one knot. Twenty-two concealed letters, twenty-two revealed letters, Yud concealed, Yud revealed. Concealed and revealed, on the balance of chests they are weighed.

**The Zohar; London, Soncino Press, 1933:**
Yud, from it go out Male and Female, Wav-Dalet [the name of the letter י is pronounced יוד "Yud"] , in this place Wav [is] Male, Dalet [is] Female. Because of this: DU [Dalet-Wav], two. DU [is] Male and Female. DU, two [are] two guards. Yud by itself is Male, He Female. He-Dalet was in the beginning, and from when she became pregnant through Wav inside her, (she gave birth to) she brought out Wav. See: in the He is Dalet-Wav, and in the Yud is He; see: Yud-He-Wav). Yud is seen around it, the totality of Yud-He-Wav. And after she brought out Yud-Wav-Dalet, which is male and female, he was settled afterwards, and was covering Mother.

**The Zohar; London, Soncino Press, 1933:**
(Genesis 6:2) "And the sons of God saw the daughters of mankind/HaAdam..." This is what is written (Joshua 2:1): "...two men spying secretly, saying...". What is "daughters of mankind/HaAdam"? As is written (I Kings 3:16): "Then two prostituting women came to the king". Because of them it is written [I Kings 3:28]: "Because they saw that the wisdom of God [was] inside him etc.". "Then [they] came", and not in the beginning. In the fortification of the girdle of sources, two were embracing each other above, they descended downward [and] they inherited dust, they destroyed the good share that they had. The crown of unclear (other reading: of mercy) and they were crowned [other reading: it/he was crowned] with a chest of grape.

**The Zohar; London, Soncino Press, 1933:**
(Exodus 14:15) "And HaShem said to Moses: What are you crying to me?". "to me" exactly. "Speak to the children of Israel that they will set out." [Exodus 14:15] "that they will set out" exactly.

**The Zohar; London, Soncino Press, 1933:**
On the flux it was depending, as he wanted to glorify His beard. (Exodus 15:26) "And what is right in His eyes you will do, and you will listen to His commandments, and you will keep all His decrees" until here. "Because I HaShem am your healer", for this one exclusively.
