Chapter 2

Chapter 1 stated that Teshuva is Azivat Hachet - a firm resolution not to sin with no need to fast. 

Fasting is so that it should be Liratzon & chaviv. 

Like a sacrifice you offer it to Hashem so when you fast your giving up yourself to Hashem. 

The approach is Love.
