In sukkos, you shall dwell seven days. (Leviticus 23:42) According to its simple meaning, this verse should have been written in reverse: “Seven days you shall dwell in sukkos.” Rather, it means to say: “Through your deeds, see that you cause to dwell in the sukkos the seven Supernal days,¹” not as “you shall dwell,” but as, "you shall cause to dwell" (tushvu). which are the seven Supernal Guests."² from Chesed to Malchus, as represented by the seven biblical figures that “visit” during the week of Sukkos: Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, Aharon, Joseph, and David.
