Who is like our G-d? – This is in Yetzirah, where it is possible to err, G-d forbid, like Acher erred when he saw Metatron.¹¹ 15a. The Talmud relates how the Sage Elisha ben Abuya, during a mystical ascent, saw the archangel Metatron and mistook him for an autonomous heavenly power. This led to his apostasy. Afterward, he was called Acher, which means “Other,” for he had changed completely. However, I do not err because “Who is like our G-d!” Let us acknowledge our G-d – This is in Beriyah, where it is impossible to err due to its closeness to Atzilus, and in Atzilus one speaks directly: You are our G-d.
