אע"פ ששהה הבשר שיעור מליחה, לא יחתוך לכתחילה ממנו בסכין קודם שידיחנו; וכיון שהדיחו פעם אחת שרי לחתוך ממנו בסכין לכתחילה. ובדיעבד אם חתך קודם הדחה, אין צריך להגעיל הסכין, ורק צריך להדיחה; ועיין באחרונים ז"ל.
