"שֹׂבַע שְׂמָחוֹת אֶת פָּנֶיךָ", אַל תִּקְרִי 'שֹׂבַע' אֶלָּא 'שֶׁבַע' (תהלים טז, יא). יובן בס"ד כי השבע יבא מן יד ויד אותיות שיש בשם הוי־ה במלוי מלואו ולזה אמר פּוֹתֵחַ אֶת יָדֶךָ וּמַשְׂבִּיעַ לְכָל חַי רָצוֹן (תהלים קמה, טז) והיינו שתי ידים שהם יד באותיות י־ה ויד באותיות ו"ה וידוע השבע במספר הקדמיי הוא כ"ח כזה אבג"ד הנזכר ומספר כ"ח הוא יד ויד שמהם השובע וזהו שאמר אל תקרי 'שובע' שיהיה שובע בעולם אלא אם כן תקרי 'שפע' שיהיה השפעה שלימה מן 'שבע' שהוא י"ד וי"ד שעולים כ"ח שהוא שבע במספר הקדמיי.
וְשֶׁל יְמוֹת הַמָּשִׁיחַ 'שְׁמוֹנָה' (תהלים יב, א) (תהלים טז, יא). נראה לי בס"ד הטעם כי אחר ביאת המשיח יאירו חמשים שערי בינה שהיא שלימא דחירותא ויהיה חירות ממלאך המות חירות משעבוד מלכיות והבינה היא ספירה שמינית לכן יהיה הכינור שמונה נימין רמז לבינה ונעשה הרמז הזה בכנור שהוא 'נר כ"ו' שיאיר שם הוי־ה בשלימות שמספרו כ"ו.
And that which will be played in the days of the Messiah, "eight" (Psalms 12:1; Psalms 16:11): With God's help, it appears to me that the reason is that after the arrival of the messiah, the fifty gates of understanding (binah) will be lit, which is the fullness of freedom, and there will be freedom from the angel of death and freedom from the subjugation of the [other nations]. And binah is the eighth sefirah. That is why the harp will have eight strings, as a hint to 'understanding.' And that hint is in the [word,] harp (kinor), which is (when moving the letters around) ner kaf-vav (light of 26) - such that the (four letter) name of His Existence, which has a numerical equivalent of 26, should shine completely.
