(א) בקרבנות. דלכתחלה חייבה התורה להביא כפרה על ידי קרבנות:
תלמוד לומר כי ביום הזה יכפר. פי' מדאמר "כי" משמע דקאי טעם אלמעלה דלפיכך תענו את נפשותיכם וכל מלאכה לא תעשו משום דהיום יום כפורים הוא:
