בַּלַּ֣יְלָה הַה֔וּא נָדְדָ֖ה שְׁנַ֣ת הַמֶּ֑לֶךְ וַיֹּ֗אמֶר לְהָבִ֞יא אֶת־סֵ֤פֶר הַזִּכְרֹנוֹת֙ דִּבְרֵ֣י הַיָּמִ֔ים וַיִּהְי֥וּ נִקְרָאִ֖ים לִפְנֵ֥י הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃
That night, the king’s sleep was disturbed, so he called for the bringing of the book of archives, of historical events, to be recited before the king.
On that night the king could not sleep, so he commanded the book of records of the chronicles to be brought; and they were read before the king.
On that night, the sleep of the king wandered [(miraculously)], and he asked that there be brought the book of chronicles; and they were read before the king.

וַיִּמָּצֵ֣א כָת֗וּב אֲשֶׁר֩ הִגִּ֨יד מׇרְדֳּכַ֜י עַל־בִּגְתָ֣נָא וָתֶ֗רֶשׁ שְׁנֵי֙ סָרִיסֵ֣י הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ מִשֹּׁמְרֵ֖י הַסַּ֑ף אֲשֶׁ֤ר בִּקְשׁוּ֙ לִשְׁלֹ֣חַ יָ֔ד בַּמֶּ֖לֶךְ אֲחַשְׁוֵרֽוֹשׁ׃
It was discovered, in the record, that Mordechai had reported that Bigsan and Seresh, two of the king’s stewards, of the guardians of the entrance, had sought to assault King Achashverosh.
And it was found written, that Mordokhay had told of Bigtana and Teresh, two of the king’s chamberlains, the keepers of the door, who sought to lay hands on the king Aĥashverosh.
And it was found written what Mordecai had related of Bighthana and Teresh, the two eunuchs of the king, of his chamberlains, who sought to assassinate King Achashverosh.
And it was found written, that 👳🏽♂️ had told of Bigtana and Teresh, two of the king’s chamberlains, the keepers of the 🚪, who sought to lay ✋ on the king 🤴🏽.
וַיֹּ֣אמֶר הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ מַֽה־נַּעֲשָׂ֞ה יְקָ֧ר וּגְדוּלָּ֛ה לְמׇרְדֳּכַ֖י עַל־זֶ֑ה וַיֹּ֨אמְר֜וּ נַעֲרֵ֤י הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ מְשָׁ֣רְתָ֔יו לֹא־נַעֲשָׂ֥ה עִמּ֖וֹ דָּבָֽר׃
The king said, “What honor or eminence has been bestowed on Mordechai for this?” The king’s youthful valets replied, “Not a thing has been done for him.”
And the king said, What honour and dignity have been done to Mordokhay for this? Then the king’s servants that ministered to him said, Nothing has been done for him.
And the kind said: What glory and greatness has been accorded Mordecai for this? And the youths of the king, his servants, said: Nothing has been accorded him.
And the king said, What honour and dignity have been done to 👳🏽♂️ for this? Then the king’s servants that ministered to him said, Nothing has been done for him.
וַיֹּ֥אמֶר הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ מִ֣י בֶחָצֵ֑ר וְהָמָ֣ן בָּ֗א לַחֲצַ֤ר בֵּית־הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ הַחִ֣יצוֹנָ֔ה לֵאמֹ֣ר לַמֶּ֔לֶךְ לִתְלוֹת֙ אֶֽת־מׇרְדֳּכַ֔י עַל־הָעֵ֖ץ אֲשֶׁר־הֵכִ֥ין לֽוֹ׃
“Who is in the courtyard?,” said the king. Now Haman had just reached the outer courtyard of the palace, to suggest to the king that Mordechai be hung from the gallows he had prepared for him.
And the king said, Who is in the court? Now Haman was come into the outer court of the king’s house, to speak to the king about hanging Mordokhay on the gallows that he had prepared for him.
And the king asked: Who is in the court? And Haman had come to the outer palace court to tell the king to hang Mordecai on the gallows that he had prepared for him.
And the king said, Who is in the court? Now 👺 was come into the outer court of the king’s 🏠, to speak to the king about hanging 👳🏽♂️ on the gallows that he had prepared for him.
וַיֹּ֨אמְר֜וּ נַעֲרֵ֤י הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ אֵלָ֔יו הִנֵּ֥ה הָמָ֖ן עֹמֵ֣ד בֶּחָצֵ֑ר וַיֹּ֥אמֶר הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ יָבֽוֹא׃
The king’s youths said to him, “Haman is here, standing in the courtyard.” The king said, “Let him in.”
And the king’s servants said to him, Behold, Haman is standing in the court. And the king said, Let him come in.
And the king's youths said to him: Behold, Haman is standing in the court.
And the king’s servants said to him, Behold, 👺 is standing in the court. And the king said, Let him come in.
וַיָּבוֹא֮ הָמָן֒ וַיֹּ֤אמֶר לוֹ֙ הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ מַה־לַּעֲשׂ֕וֹת בָּאִ֕ישׁ אֲשֶׁ֥ר הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ חָפֵ֣ץ בִּיקָר֑וֹ וַיֹּ֤אמֶר הָמָן֙ בְּלִבּ֔וֹ לְמִ֞י יַחְפֹּ֥ץ הַמֶּ֛לֶךְ לַעֲשׂ֥וֹת יְקָ֖ר יוֹתֵ֥ר מִמֶּֽנִּי׃
Haman entered. The king said to him, “What should be done for a man whom the king wishes to honor. Now Haman reflected, ‘Whom would the king desire to glorify more than me?’
So Haman came in. And the king said to him, What shall be done to the man whom the king delights to honour? Now Haman thought in his heart, To whom would the king delight to do honour more than to myself?
And Haman came in, and the king said to him: What should be done with the man whose glory the king desires? And Haman thought in his heart: Whom does the king wish to exalt more than I?
So 👺 came in. And the king said to him, What shall be done to the 👨🏽 whom the king delights to honour? Now 👺 💭 in his ❤️, To whom would the king delight to do honour more than to myself?
וַיֹּ֥אמֶר הָמָ֖ן אֶל־הַמֶּ֑לֶךְ אִ֕ישׁ אֲשֶׁ֥ר הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ חָפֵ֥ץ בִּיקָרֽוֹ׃
Haman said to the king, “A man whose glory the king desires!
And Haman answered the king, For the man whom the king delights to honour,
And Haman said to the king: The man whose glory the king desires,
And 👺 answered the king, For the 👨🏽 whom the king delights to honour,
יָבִ֙יאוּ֙ לְב֣וּשׁ מַלְכ֔וּת אֲשֶׁ֥ר לָֽבַשׁ־בּ֖וֹ הַמֶּ֑לֶךְ וְס֗וּס אֲשֶׁ֨ר רָכַ֤ב עָלָיו֙ הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ וַאֲשֶׁ֥ר נִתַּ֛ן כֶּ֥תֶר מַלְכ֖וּת בְּרֹאשֽׁוֹ׃
Let them bring the imperial robe, worn by His Majesty, and the horse mounted by His Majesty; the imperial crown to be placed on his head.
let the royal apparel be brought which the king has worn, and the horse that the king rides upon, and on the head of which a royal crown is placed;
Let there be brought the royal robes wherein the king is clothed, and the horse whereon the king rides, and let the royal crown be placed upon his head.

וְנָת֨וֹן הַלְּב֜וּשׁ וְהַסּ֗וּס עַל־יַד־אִ֞ישׁ מִשָּׂרֵ֤י הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ הַֽפַּרְתְּמִ֔ים וְהִלְבִּ֙ישׁוּ֙ אֶת־הָאִ֔ישׁ אֲשֶׁ֥ר הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ חָפֵ֣ץ בִּֽיקָר֑וֹ וְהִרְכִּיבֻ֤הוּ עַל־הַסּוּס֙ בִּרְח֣וֹב הָעִ֔יר וְקָרְא֣וּ לְפָנָ֔יו כָּ֚כָה יֵעָשֶׂ֣ה לָאִ֔ישׁ אֲשֶׁ֥ר הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ חָפֵ֥ץ בִּיקָרֽוֹ׃
Let the robe and the horse be handed to a distinguished minister, a nobleman. Then let them garb the man whose glory the king desires, mount him on the horse in the city thoroughfare, and proclaim before him, ‘This is what is done with a man whose glory the king desires!’”
and let this apparel and horse be delivered to the hand of one of the king’s most noble princes, that they may array the man whom the king delights to honour, and bring him on horseback through the street of the city, and proclaim before him, Thus shall it be done to the man whom the king delights to honour.
And let the robes and the horse be handed over to one of the most noble princes of the king [(Haman not mentioning the crown, having sensed the king's abhorrence of his crown being worn on a man's head)], and let them apparel the man whose glory the king desires, and let them ride him on the horse in the city thoroughfare, and call out before him: "Thus shall be done with the man whose glory the king desires!"
and let this apparel and 🐴 be delivered to the ✋ of 1️⃣ of the king’s most noble princes, that they may array the 👨🏽 whom the king delights to honour, and bring him on horseback through the street of the 🏙️, and proclaim before him, Thus shall it be done to the 👨🏽 whom the king delights to honour.
וַיֹּ֨אמֶר הַמֶּ֜לֶךְ לְהָמָ֗ן מַ֠הֵ֠ר קַ֣ח אֶת־הַלְּב֤וּשׁ וְאֶת־הַסּוּס֙ כַּאֲשֶׁ֣ר דִּבַּ֔רְתָּ וַֽעֲשֵׂה־כֵן֙ לְמׇרְדֳּכַ֣י הַיְּהוּדִ֔י הַיּוֹשֵׁ֖ב בְּשַׁ֣עַר הַמֶּ֑לֶךְ אַל־תַּפֵּ֣ל דָּבָ֔ר מִכֹּ֖ל אֲשֶׁ֥ר דִּבַּֽרְתָּ׃
The king said to Haman, “Quickly, take the cloak and the horse just as you said, and do so to Mordechai the Yehudi, who sits at the gateway to the king. Do not omit anything you mentioned!”
Then the king said to Haman, Make haste, and take the apparel and the horse, as thou hast said, and do so to Mordokhay the Jew, who sits at the king’s gate: let nothing fail of all thou hast spoken.
And the king said to Haman: Quickly, take the apparel and the horse, as you have spoken, and do thus to Mordecai, the Jew, who sits in the king's gate. Let fall nothing of all that you have spoken.
Then the king said to 👺, Make haste, and take the apparel and the 🐴, as thou hast said, and do so to 👳🏽♂️ the ✡️, who sits at the king’s ⛩️: let nothing fail of all thou hast spoken.
וַיִּקַּ֤ח הָמָן֙ אֶת־הַלְּב֣וּשׁ וְאֶת־הַסּ֔וּס וַיַּלְבֵּ֖שׁ אֶֽת־מׇרְדֳּכָ֑י וַיַּרְכִּיבֵ֙הוּ֙ בִּרְח֣וֹב הָעִ֔יר וַיִּקְרָ֣א לְפָנָ֔יו כָּ֚כָה יֵעָשֶׂ֣ה לָאִ֔ישׁ אֲשֶׁ֥ר הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ חָפֵ֥ץ בִּיקָרֽוֹ׃
Haman took the robe and the horse and garbed Mordechai. Then he led him on horseback through the city thoroughfare, and proclaimed before him, “This is what is done with a man whose glory the king desires.”

Then 👺 took the apparel and the 🐴, and arrayed 👳🏽♂️, and brought him on horseback through the street of the 🏙️, and proclaimed before him, Thus shall it be done to the 👨🏽 whom the king delights to honour.
וַיָּ֥שׇׁב מׇרְדֳּכַ֖י אֶל־שַׁ֣עַר הַמֶּ֑לֶךְ וְהָמָן֙ נִדְחַ֣ף אֶל־בֵּית֔וֹ אָבֵ֖ל וַחֲפ֥וּי רֹֽאשׁ׃
Mordechai then returned to the gateway to the king, while Haman was rushed home, griefstricken, his head covered [in shame.]
And Mordokhay came back to the king’s gate. But Haman hastened to his house mourning, and having his head covered.
And Mordecai returned [(to his sack and to his fasting)] to the king's gate, and Haman hastened to his house, mourning and with covered head.
And 👳🏽♂️ came back to the king’s ⛩️. But 👺 hastened to his 🏠 mourning, and having his head 🙈.
וַיְסַפֵּ֨ר הָמָ֜ן לְזֶ֤רֶשׁ אִשְׁתּוֹ֙ וּלְכׇל־אֹ֣הֲבָ֔יו אֵ֖ת כׇּל־אֲשֶׁ֣ר קָרָ֑הוּ וַיֹּ֩אמְרוּ֩ ל֨וֹ חֲכָמָ֜יו וְזֶ֣רֶשׁ אִשְׁתּ֗וֹ אִ֣ם מִזֶּ֣רַע הַיְּהוּדִ֡ים מׇרְדֳּכַ֞י אֲשֶׁר֩ הַחִלּ֨וֹתָ לִנְפֹּ֤ל לְפָנָיו֙ לֹא־תוּכַ֣ל ל֔וֹ כִּֽי־נָפ֥וֹל תִּפּ֖וֹל לְפָנָֽיו׃
Haman related to his wife Zeresh, and all his friends all that had befallen him. His counsellors and his wife Zeresh told him, “As Mordechai is of Yehudite stock, since you have begun to fall before him, you cannot overcome him, but will surely fall before him.”
And Haman told Zeresh his wife and all his friends everything that had befallen him. Then his wise men and Zeresh his wife said to him, If Mordokhay, before whom thou hast begun to fall, be of the seed of the Jews, then thou shalt not prevail against him, but thou shalt surely fall before him.
And Haman related to Zeresh, his wife, and to all his loved ones all that had befallen him. And his sages and Zeresh, his wife, said to him: If of the seed of the Jews is Mordecai, before whom you have begun to fall, you shall not prevail against, him, but fall, shall you fall, before him. [She said: This nation (Israel) is compared to the stars and to the dust. When they fall, they fall to the very dust; and when they rise, they rise to the stars [and your falling will be commensurate with their rising (a "double" falling, as it were)].
And 👺 told 👹 his wife and all his friends everything that had befallen him. Then his wise men and 👹 his wife said to him, If 👳🏽♂️, before whom thou hast begun to fall, be of the seed of the ✡️, then thou shalt not prevail against him, but thou shalt surely fall before him.
עוֹדָם֙ מְדַבְּרִ֣ים עִמּ֔וֹ וְסָרִיסֵ֥י הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ הִגִּ֑יעוּ וַיַּבְהִ֙לוּ֙ לְהָבִ֣יא אֶת־הָמָ֔ן אֶל־הַמִּשְׁתֶּ֖ה אֲשֶׁר־עָשְׂתָ֥ה אֶסְתֵּֽר׃
While they were still conversing with him, the king’s stewards arrived, rushing to bring Haman to the feast which Esther had prepared.
And while they were yet talking with him, the king’s chamberlains came, and brought Haman hurriedly to the banquet that Ester had prepared.
While they were yet speaking with him, the king's eunuchs arrived, and they hurried to bring Haman to the feast that Esther had made.
And while they were yet talking with him, the king’s chamberlains came, and brought 👺 hurriedly to the banquet that 👸🏽 had prepared.
