וְעָשִׂ֥יתָ אֶת־הַמִּזְבֵּ֖חַ עֲצֵ֣י שִׁטִּ֑ים חָמֵשׁ֩ אַמּ֨וֹת אֹ֜רֶךְ וְחָמֵ֧שׁ אַמּ֣וֹת רֹ֗חַב רָב֤וּעַ יִהְיֶה֙ הַמִּזְבֵּ֔חַ וְשָׁלֹ֥שׁ אַמּ֖וֹת קֹמָתֽוֹ׃
You shall make the altar out of acacia wood. It shall be five amohs long, and five amohs wide. The altar shall be square, and its height shall be three amohs.
And thou shalt make an altar of shittim wood, five cubits long, and five cubits broad; the altar shall be foursquare: and the height of it shall be three cubits.
And you shall make the altar of acacia wood, five cubits long and five cubits wide. The altar shall be square and three cubits high.
וְעָשִׂ֣יתָ קַרְנֹתָ֗יו עַ֚ל אַרְבַּ֣ע פִּנֹּתָ֔יו מִמֶּ֖נּוּ תִּהְיֶ֣יןָ קַרְנֹתָ֑יו וְצִפִּיתָ֥ אֹת֖וֹ נְחֹֽשֶׁת׃
Make its raised projections on its four corners. Its raised projections shall be of one piece with it, and you shall overlay it [the altar] with copper.
And thou shalt make the horns of it upon its four corners: its horns shall be of the same: and thou shalt overlay it with brass.
And you shall make its horns on its four corners. From it [the altar itself] shall its horns be, [and not first made and then attached to it.] and you shall cover it with copper [to atone for brazenness (see Isaiah 48:4)].
וְעָשִׂ֤יתָ סִּֽירֹתָיו֙ לְדַשְּׁנ֔וֹ וְיָעָיו֙ וּמִזְרְקֹתָ֔יו וּמִזְלְגֹתָ֖יו וּמַחְתֹּתָ֑יו לְכׇל־כֵּלָ֖יו תַּעֲשֶׂ֥ה נְחֹֽשֶׁת׃
Make its pots to remove its ashes, [also] its scoops, its basins, its flesh hooks, and its fire pans. Make all of its vessels out of copper.
And thou shalt make its pans to receive its ashes, and its shovels, and its basins, and its forks, and its firepans: all its vessels thou shalt make of brass.
And you shall make its pots (into which) to empty its ashes, and its shovels [with which to remove its ashes], and its sprinkling basins [in which to receive the blood of the sacrifices], and its spits, and its fire-pans [for taking coals from the outer altar to the inner altar for the burning of the incense]. All of its implements shall you make of copper.
וְעָשִׂ֤יתָ לּוֹ֙ מִכְבָּ֔ר מַעֲשֵׂ֖ה רֶ֣שֶׁת נְחֹ֑שֶׁת וְעָשִׂ֣יתָ עַל־הָרֶ֗שֶׁת אַרְבַּע֙ טַבְּעֹ֣ת נְחֹ֔שֶׁת עַ֖ל אַרְבַּ֥ע קְצוֹתָֽיו׃
Make for it a grate of copper netting. On the grate you shall make four copper rings on its four corners.
And thou shalt make for it a grate of network of brass; and upon the net shalt thou make four brazen rings on its four corners.
And you shall make for it a copper lattice, netting work. And you shall make on the netting four copper rings at its four edges.
וְנָתַתָּ֣ה אֹתָ֗הּ תַּ֛חַת כַּרְכֹּ֥ב הַמִּזְבֵּ֖חַ מִלְּמָ֑טָּה וְהָיְתָ֣ה הָרֶ֔שֶׁת עַ֖ד חֲצִ֥י הַמִּזְבֵּֽחַ׃
Place it under the rim of the altar, extending downward, so that the grate reaches the middle of the altar.
And thou shalt put it under the ledge of the altar beneath, that the net may reach to the midst of the altar.
And you shall place it under the karkov of the altar [an encircling, decorative band] below. And the netting shall extend until the mid-point of the altar [for distinguishing between the (placing of the) "upper blood" and the "lower blood"].
וְעָשִׂ֤יתָ בַדִּים֙ לַמִּזְבֵּ֔חַ בַּדֵּ֖י עֲצֵ֣י שִׁטִּ֑ים וְצִפִּיתָ֥ אֹתָ֖ם נְחֹֽשֶׁת׃
Make poles for the altar, poles of acacia wood, and overlay them with copper.
And thou shalt make poles for the altar, poles of shittim wood, and overlay them with brass.
And you shall make staves for the altar of acacia wood, and you shall cover them with copper.
וְהוּבָ֥א אֶת־בַּדָּ֖יו בַּטַּבָּעֹ֑ת וְהָי֣וּ הַבַּדִּ֗ים עַל־שְׁתֵּ֛י צַלְעֹ֥ת הַמִּזְבֵּ֖חַ בִּשְׂאֵ֥ת אֹתֽוֹ׃
Place its poles into the rings, and the poles shall be on the two sides of the altar when it is carried.
And the poles shall be put into the rings, and the poles shall be upon the two sides of the altar, to carry it.
And its staves shall be brought into the [four] rings [made in the lattice]. And the staves shall be on the two sides of the altar when it is carried.
נְב֥וּב לֻחֹ֖ת תַּעֲשֶׂ֣ה אֹת֑וֹ כַּאֲשֶׁ֨ר הֶרְאָ֥ה אֹתְךָ֛ בָּהָ֖ר כֵּ֥ן יַעֲשֽׂוּ׃{ס}
It should be a hollow structure constructed from boards. As it was shown to you on the mountain, so shall they make it.
Hollow with boards shalt thou make it: as it was shown thee in the mountain, so shall they make it.
A hollow of boards shall you make it, as He showed you on the mountain; so shall they do.
וְעָשִׂ֕יתָ אֵ֖ת חֲצַ֣ר הַמִּשְׁכָּ֑ן לִפְאַ֣ת נֶֽגֶב־תֵּ֠ימָ֠נָה קְלָעִ֨ים לֶחָצֵ֜ר שֵׁ֣שׁ מׇשְׁזָ֗ר מֵאָ֤ה בָֽאַמָּה֙ אֹ֔רֶךְ לַפֵּאָ֖ה הָאֶחָֽת׃
You shall make the enclosure for the mishkon. On the south side there shall be curtains for the enclosure made of fine twined linen. It shall be one hundred amohs long on one side.
And thou shalt make the court of the tabernacle: for the south side southward there shall be hangings for the court of fine twined linen of a hundred cubits long for one side:
And you shall make the court of the tabernacle: On the south side, curtains for the court, of twisted linen, a hundred cubits long on one side.
וְעַמֻּדָ֣יו עֶשְׂרִ֔ים וְאַדְנֵיהֶ֥ם עֶשְׂרִ֖ים נְחֹ֑שֶׁת וָוֵ֧י הָעַמֻּדִ֛ים וַחֲשֻׁקֵיהֶ֖ם כָּֽסֶף׃
It shall have twenty pillars, and they shall have twenty copper sockets. The hooks and bands of the pillars shall be of silver.
and its twenty pillars and their twenty sockets shall be of brass; the hooks of the pillars and their joints shall be of silver.
And its pillars, twenty, [five cubits between the pillars], and their sockets twenty, of copper; the hooks of the pillars and their belts [(threads by which the pillars were encircled)] of silver.
וְכֵ֨ן לִפְאַ֤ת צָפוֹן֙ בָּאֹ֔רֶךְ קְלָעִ֖ים מֵ֣אָה אֹ֑רֶךְ וְעַמֻּדָ֣ו עֶשְׂרִ֗ים וְאַדְנֵיהֶ֤ם עֶשְׂרִים֙ נְחֹ֔שֶׁת וָוֵ֧י הָֽעַמֻּדִ֛ים וַחֲשֻׁקֵיהֶ֖ם כָּֽסֶף׃
The same shall be on the north side. The curtains shall be one hundred amohs long, with twenty pillars and twenty copper sockets. The hooks and bands of the pillar shall be of silver.
And likewise for the north side in length there shall be hangings of a hundred cubits long, and its twenty pillars and their twenty sockets of brass; the hooks of the pillars and their joints of silver.
And so for the northern side in length. Curtains a hundred (cubits) long, and its pillars, twenty, and their sockets twenty, of copper; the hooks of the pillars and their belts, of silver.
וְרֹ֤חַב הֶֽחָצֵר֙ לִפְאַת־יָ֔ם קְלָעִ֖ים חֲמִשִּׁ֣ים אַמָּ֑ה עַמֻּדֵיהֶ֣ם עֲשָׂרָ֔ה וְאַדְנֵיהֶ֖ם עֲשָׂרָֽה׃
For the width of the enclosure on the west side there shall be curtains of fifty amohs. They shall have ten pillars and ten sockets.
And for the breadth of the court on the west side shall be hangings of fifty cubits: their pillars ten, and their sockets ten.
And the width of the court on the west side: Curtains, fifty cubits (long), their pillars, ten, and their sockets, ten.
וְרֹ֣חַב הֶֽחָצֵ֗ר לִפְאַ֛ת קֵ֥דְמָה מִזְרָ֖חָה חֲמִשִּׁ֥ים אַמָּֽה׃
The width of the enclosure on the east side shall be fifty amohs.
And the breadth of the court on the east side eastward shall be fifty cubits.
And the width of the court on the front side, to the east, fifty cubits.
וַחֲמֵ֨שׁ עֶשְׂרֵ֥ה אַמָּ֛ה קְלָעִ֖ים לַכָּתֵ֑ף עַמֻּדֵיהֶ֣ם שְׁלֹשָׁ֔ה וְאַדְנֵיהֶ֖ם שְׁלֹשָֽׁה׃
There shall be curtains fifteen amohs long on one flank [of the entrance]. They shall have three pillars and three sockets.
The hangings of one side of the gate shall be fifteen cubits: their pillars three, and their sockets three.
And fifteen cubits of curtains on the shoulder [(on one side of the opening)], their pillars three and their sockets three.
וְלַכָּתֵף֙ הַשֵּׁנִ֔ית חֲמֵ֥שׁ עֶשְׂרֵ֖ה קְלָעִ֑ים עַמֻּדֵיהֶ֣ם שְׁלֹשָׁ֔ה וְאַדְנֵיהֶ֖ם שְׁלֹשָֽׁה׃
The other flank shall [also] have curtains of fifteen amohs. They [too] shall have three pillars and three sockets.
And on the other side shall be hangings of fifteen cubits: their pillars three, and their sockets three.
And on the second shoulder, fifteen (cubits) of curtains, their pillars three and their sockets three.
וּלְשַׁ֨עַר הֶֽחָצֵ֜ר מָסָ֣ךְ**׀** עֶשְׂרִ֣ים אַמָּ֗ה תְּכֵ֨לֶת וְאַרְגָּמָ֜ן וְתוֹלַ֧עַת שָׁנִ֛י וְשֵׁ֥שׁ מׇשְׁזָ֖ר מַעֲשֵׂ֣ה רֹקֵ֑ם עַמֻּֽדֵיהֶם֙ אַרְבָּעָ֔ה וְאַדְנֵיהֶ֖ם אַרְבָּעָֽה׃
The entrance of the enclosure shall have a screen of twenty amohs. [It shall be made of] greenish-blue wool, dark red wool, crimson wool, and twined, fine linen. It shall be the work of an embroiderer. It [the screen] shall have four pillars and four sockets.
And for the gate of the court shall be a screen of twenty cubits, of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen, wrought with embroidery: and their pillars shall be four, and their sockets four.
And for the gate of the court, a screen [a curtain] of twenty cubits: blue wool, and purple wool, and scarlet wool, and twisted linen, the work of an embroiderer, their pillars four and their sockets four.
כׇּל־עַמּוּדֵ֨י הֶֽחָצֵ֤ר סָבִיב֙ מְחֻשָּׁקִ֣ים כֶּ֔סֶף וָוֵיהֶ֖ם כָּ֑סֶף וְאַדְנֵיהֶ֖ם נְחֹֽשֶׁת׃
All the pillars around the enclosure shall have silver bands, and silver hooks, and copper sockets.
All the pillars round about the court shall be bound with silver; their hooks shall be of silver, and their sockets of brass.
All the pillars of the court roundabout, belted with silver, their hooks of silver and their sockets of copper.
אֹ֣רֶךְ הֶֽחָצֵר֩ מֵאָ֨ה בָֽאַמָּ֜ה וְרֹ֣חַב**׀** חֲמִשִּׁ֣ים בַּחֲמִשִּׁ֗ים וְקֹמָ֛ה חָמֵ֥שׁ אַמּ֖וֹת שֵׁ֣שׁ מׇשְׁזָ֑ר וְאַדְנֵיהֶ֖ם נְחֹֽשֶׁת׃
The length of the enclosure shall be one hundred amohs. The width shall be fifty by fifty amohs. The height [of the pillars holding up the curtains] of twisted fine linen shall be five amohs, and their sockets shall be [made] of copper.
The length of the court shall be a hundred cubits, and the breadth fifty everywhere, and the height, five cubits of fine twined linen, and their sockets of brass.
The length of the court, a hundred cubits, and the width, fifty by fifty, and the height, five cubits of twisted linen, and their sockets [(including the sockets for the pillars of the screen)] of copper.
לְכֹל֙ כְּלֵ֣י הַמִּשְׁכָּ֔ן בְּכֹ֖ל עֲבֹדָת֑וֹ וְכׇל־יְתֵדֹתָ֛יו וְכׇל־יִתְדֹ֥ת הֶחָצֵ֖ר נְחֹֽשֶׁת׃{ס}
All the vessels of the mishkon in all its service, all of its stakes and all the stakes of the enclosure, shall be made of copper.
All the vessels of the tabernacle in all its service, and all its pegs, and all the pegs of the court, shall be of brass.
All the implements of the tabernacle for all of its labor [for erecting and dismantling it], and all of its pegs, and all the pegs of the courtyard, of copper.
וְאַתָּ֞ה תְּצַוֶּ֣ה**׀** אֶת־בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל וְיִקְח֨וּ אֵלֶ֜יךָ שֶׁ֣מֶן זַ֥יִת זָ֛ךְ כָּתִ֖ית לַמָּא֑וֹר לְהַעֲלֹ֥ת נֵ֖ר תָּמִֽיד׃
You shall command the B’nei Yisrael and have them bring you clear olive oil, [made from olives that were] crushed for lighting, to keep the lamp burning constantly.
And thou shalt command the children of Yisra᾽el, that they bring thee pure olive oil beaten for the light, to cause the lamp to burn always.
And you shall command the children of Israel that they take for you olive oil, clear [without lees], (the olives) crushed [(in a mortar and not ground in a mill, so that there be no lees)], for illumination [(but the olives may be ground in a mill for the (oil of the) meal-offering)], to raise a light [(the flame rising of itself)] continually [i.e., each night].
בְּאֹ֣הֶל מוֹעֵד֩ מִח֨וּץ לַפָּרֹ֜כֶת אֲשֶׁ֣ר עַל־הָעֵדֻ֗ת יַעֲרֹךְ֩ אֹת֨וֹ אַהֲרֹ֧ן וּבָנָ֛יו מֵעֶ֥רֶב עַד־בֹּ֖קֶר לִפְנֵ֣י יְהֹוָ֑ה חֻקַּ֤ת עוֹלָם֙ לְדֹ֣רֹתָ֔ם מֵאֵ֖ת בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃{ס}
In the Tent of Meeting, outside the paroches, which is before the Testimony, Aharon and his sons shall arrange it [for the lamp to burn] from evening to morning before Adonoy. This is an everlasting statute for their generations of the B’nei Yisrael.
In the Tent of Meeting outside the veil, which is before the Testimony, Aharon and his sons shall order it from evening to morning before the Lord: it shall be a statute for ever to their generations on behalf of the children of Yisra᾽el.
In the tent of meeting outside the parocheth which is before the Testimony, Aaron and his sons shall arrange it [so that it burn] from evening until morning before the L-rd, an eternal statute for their generations, from the children of Israel.
