וַיְהִ֥י דְבַר־יְהֹוָ֖ה אֵלַ֥י לֵאמֹֽר׃
And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
וְאַתָּ֣ה בֶן־אָדָ֔ם שָׂ֥א עַל־צֹ֖ר קִינָֽה׃
Now, thou son of man, take up a lamentation for Żor;
וְאָמַרְתָּ֣ לְצ֗וֹר (הישבתי) [הַיֹּשֶׁ֙בֶת֙] עַל־מְבוֹאֹ֣ת יָ֔ם רֹכֶ֙לֶת֙ הָֽעַמִּ֔ים אֶל־אִיִּ֖ים רַבִּ֑ים{ס}כֹּ֤ה אָמַר֙ אֲדֹנָ֣י יֱהֹוִ֔ה צ֕וֹר אַ֣תְּ אָמַ֔רְתְּ אֲנִ֖י כְּלִ֥ילַת יֹֽפִי׃
and say to Żor, O thou that dwellest at the entry of the sea, that art a merchant of the peoples to many islands, Thus says the Lord God; O Żor, thou hast said, I am of perfect beauty.
בְּלֵ֥ב יַמִּ֖ים גְּבוּלָ֑יִךְ בֹּנַ֕יִךְ כָּלְל֖וּ יׇפְיֵֽךְ׃
Thy borders are in the heart of the seas, thy builders have perfected thy beauty.
בְּרוֹשִׁ֤ים מִשְּׂנִיר֙ בָּ֣נוּ לָ֔ךְ אֵ֖ת כׇּל־לֻחֹתָ֑יִם אֶ֤רֶז מִלְּבָנוֹן֙ לָקָ֔חוּ לַעֲשׂ֥וֹת תֹּ֖רֶן עָלָֽיִךְ׃
They have made all thy planks of cypress trees from Senir: they have taken cedars from Levanon to make masts for thee.
אַלּוֹנִים֙ מִבָּשָׁ֔ן עָשׂ֖וּ מִשּׁוֹטָ֑יִךְ קַרְשֵׁ֤ךְ עָֽשׂוּ־שֵׁן֙ בַּת־אֲשֻׁרִ֔ים מֵאִיֵּ֖י כִּתִּיִּֽם׃
Of the oaks of Bashan have they made thy oars; they have made thy benches of ivory with box treewood brought out of the isles of the Kittiyyim.
שֵׁשׁ־בְּרִקְמָ֤ה מִמִּצְרַ֙יִם֙ הָיָ֣ה מִפְרָשֵׂ֔ךְ לִֽהְי֥וֹת לָ֖ךְ לְנֵ֑ס תְּכֵ֧לֶת וְאַרְגָּמָ֛ן מֵאִיֵּ֥י אֱלִישָׁ֖ה הָיָ֥ה מְכַסֵּֽךְ׃
Fine linen with embroidered work from Miżrayim was that which thou didst spread out to be thy banner; blue and purple from the isles of Elisha was thy awning.
יֹשְׁבֵ֤י צִידוֹן֙ וְאַרְוַ֔ד הָי֥וּ שָׁטִ֖ים לָ֑ךְ חֲכָמַ֤יִךְ צוֹר֙ הָ֣יוּ בָ֔ךְ הֵ֖מָּה חֹבְלָֽיִךְ׃
The inhabitants of Żidon and Arvad were thy rowers: thy wise men, O Żor, were in thee; they were thy pilots.
זִקְנֵ֨י גְבַ֤ל וַחֲכָמֶ֙יהָ֙ הָ֣יוּ בָ֔ךְ מַחֲזִיקֵ֖י בִּדְקֵ֑ךְ כׇּל־אֳנִיּ֨וֹת הַיָּ֤ם וּמַלָּֽחֵיהֶם֙ הָ֣יוּ בָ֔ךְ לַעֲרֹ֖ב מַעֲרָבֵֽךְ׃
The elders of Geval and its wise men were in thee caulking thy seams: the ships of the sea with their mariners were in thee to exchange thy merchandise.
פָּרַ֨ס וְל֤וּד וּפוּט֙ הָי֣וּ בְחֵילֵ֔ךְ אַנְשֵׁ֖י מִלְחַמְתֵּ֑ךְ מָגֵ֤ן וְכוֹבַע֙ תִּלּוּ־בָ֔ךְ הֵ֖מָּה נָתְנ֥וּ הֲדָרֵֽךְ׃
They of Paras and of Lud and of Put were in thy army, thy men of war: they hung the shield and helmet in thee; they provided thy comeliness.
בְּנֵ֧י אַרְוַ֣ד וְחֵילֵ֗ךְ עַל־חוֹמוֹתַ֙יִךְ֙ סָבִ֔יב וְגַ֨מָּדִ֔ים בְּמִגְדְּלוֹתַ֖יִךְ הָי֑וּ שִׁלְטֵיהֶ֞ם תִּלּ֤וּ עַל־חוֹמוֹתַ֙יִךְ֙ סָבִ֔יב הֵ֖מָּה כָּלְל֥וּ יׇפְיֵֽךְ׃
The men of Arvad with thy army were upon thy walls round about, and Gammadim were on thy towers: they hung their shields upon thy walls round about; they have completed thy beauty.
תַּרְשִׁ֥ישׁ סֹחַרְתֵּ֖ךְ מֵרֹ֣ב כׇּל־ה֑וֹן בְּכֶ֤סֶף בַּרְזֶל֙ בְּדִ֣יל וְעוֹפֶ֔רֶת נָתְנ֖וּ עִזְבוֹנָֽיִךְ׃
Tarshish was thy merchant by reason of the multitude of all kind of riches; with silver, iron, tin, and lead, they traded for thy wares.
יָוָ֤ן תֻּבַל֙ וָמֶ֔שֶׁךְ הֵ֖מָּה רֹכְלָ֑יִךְ בְּנֶ֤פֶשׁ אָדָם֙ וּכְלֵ֣י נְחֹ֔שֶׁת נָתְנ֖וּ מַעֲרָבֵֽךְ׃
Yavan, Tuval, and Meshekh, they were thy merchants: they traded the persons of men and vessels of brass for thy merchandise.
מִבֵּ֖ית תּוֹגַרְמָ֑ה סוּסִ֤ים וּפָרָשִׁים֙ וּפְרָדִ֔ים נָתְנ֖וּ עִזְבוֹנָֽיִךְ׃
They of the house of Togarma traded for thy wares with horses and horsemen and mules.
בְּנֵ֤י דְדָן֙ רֹכְלַ֔יִךְ אִיִּ֥ים רַבִּ֖ים סְחֹרַ֣ת יָדֵ֑ךְ קַרְנ֥וֹת שֵׁן֙ (והובנים) [וְהׇבְנִ֔ים] הֵשִׁ֖יבוּ אֶשְׁכָּרֵֽךְ׃
The men of Dedan were thy merchants; many islands were the market of thy domain: they brought thee horns of ivory and ebony in payment.
אֲרָ֥ם סֹחַרְתֵּ֖ךְ מֵרֹ֣ב מַעֲשָׂ֑יִךְ בְּ֠נֹ֠פֶךְ אַרְגָּמָ֨ן וְרִקְמָ֤ה וּבוּץ֙ וְרָאמֹ֣ת וְכַדְכֹּ֔ד נָתְנ֖וּ בְּעִזְבוֹנָֽיִךְ׃
Aram was thy merchant by reason of the multitude of thy works: they traded for thy wares with turquoise, purple, and embroidered work, and fine linen, and coral, and rubies.
יְהוּדָה֙ וְאֶ֣רֶץ יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל הֵ֖מָּה רֹכְלָ֑יִךְ בְּחִטֵּ֣י מִ֠נִּ֠ית וּפַנַּ֨ג וּדְבַ֤שׁ וָשֶׁ֙מֶן֙ וָצֹ֔רִי נָתְנ֖וּ מַעֲרָבֵֽךְ׃
Yehuda and the land of Yisra᾽el they were thy merchants: they traded for thy merchandise wheat of Minnit, and pastry, and honey, and oil, and balm.
דַּמֶּ֧שֶׂק סֹחַרְתֵּ֛ךְ בְּרֹ֥ב מַעֲשַׂ֖יִךְ מֵרֹ֣ב כׇּל־ה֑וֹן בְּיֵ֥ין חֶלְבּ֖וֹן וְצֶ֥מֶר צָֽחַר׃
Dammeseq was thy merchant for the multitude of thy works, for the multitude of all riches; in the wine of Ḥelbon, and white wool.
וְדָ֤ן וְיָוָן֙ מְאוּזָּ֔ל בְּעִזְבוֹנַ֖יִךְ נָתָ֑נּוּ בַּרְזֶ֤ל עָשׁוֹת֙ קִדָּ֣ה וְקָנֶ֔ה בְּמַעֲרָבֵ֖ךְ הָיָֽה׃
Dan also and Yavan gave yarn for thy wares: bright iron, cassia, and calamus, were among thy merchandise.
דְּדָן֙ רֹֽכַלְתֵּ֔ךְ בְּבִגְדֵי־חֹ֖פֶשׁ לְרִכְבָּֽהֿ׃
Dedan was thy merchant in precious clothes for riding.
עֲרַב֙ וְכׇל־נְשִׂיאֵ֣י קֵדָ֔ר הֵ֖מָּה סֹחֲרֵ֣י יָדֵ֑ךְ בְּכָרִ֤ים וְאֵילִם֙ וְעַתּוּדִ֔ים בָּ֖ם סֹחֲרָֽיִךְ׃
῾Arav, and all the princes of Qedar, were merchants of thy domain, in rams, and goats: in these were they thy merchants.
רֹכְלֵ֤י שְׁבָא֙ וְרַעְמָ֔ה הֵ֖מָּה רֹכְלָ֑יִךְ בְּרֹ֨אשׁ כׇּל־בֹּ֜שֶׂם וּבְכׇל־אֶ֤בֶן יְקָרָה֙ וְזָהָ֔ב נָתְנ֖וּ עִזְבוֹנָֽיִךְ׃
The merchants of Sheva and Ra῾ma, they were thy merchants: they dealt in thy wares with chief of all spices, and with all precious stones, and gold.
חָרָ֤ן וְכַנֵּה֙ וָעֶ֔דֶן רֹכְלֵ֖י שְׁבָ֑א אַשּׁ֖וּר כִּלְמַ֥ד רֹכַלְתֵּֽךְ׃
Ḥaran, and Kanne, and ῾Eden, the merchants of Sheva, Ashshur, and Kilmad, thy merchants.
הֵ֤מָּה רֹכְלַ֙יִךְ֙ בְּמַכְלֻלִ֔ים בִּגְלוֹמֵי֙ תְּכֵ֣לֶת וְרִקְמָ֔ה וּבְגִנְזֵ֖י בְּרֹמִ֑ים בַּחֲבָלִ֧ים חֲבֻשִׁ֛ים וַאֲרֻזִ֖ים בְּמַרְכֻלְתֵּֽךְ׃
These, traded with thee in choice garments, in clothes of blue and embroidered work, and in carpets of coloured stuff, bound with ropes and made fast, for thy merchandise.
אֳנִיּ֣וֹת תַּרְשִׁ֔ישׁ שָׁרוֹתַ֖יִךְ מַעֲרָבֵ֑ךְ וַתִּמָּלְאִ֧י וַֽתִּכְבְּדִ֛י מְאֹ֖ד בְּלֵ֥ב יַמִּֽים׃
The ships of Tarshish were thy caravans for thy wares: and thou wast replenished, and heavy laden in the heart of the seas.
בְּמַ֤יִם רַבִּים֙ הֱבִא֔וּךְ הַשָּׁטִ֖ים אֹתָ֑ךְ ר֚וּחַ הַקָּדִ֔ים שְׁבָרֵ֖ךְ בְּלֵ֥ב יַמִּֽים׃
Thy rowers brought thee into great waters: the east wind has broken thee in the heart of the seas.
הוֹנֵךְ֙ וְעִזְבוֹנַ֔יִךְ מַעֲרָבֵ֕ךְ מַלָּחַ֖יִךְ וְחֹבְלָ֑יִךְ מַחֲזִיקֵ֣י בִדְקֵ֣ךְ וְֽעֹרְבֵ֣י מַ֠עֲרָבֵ֠ךְ וְכׇל־אַנְשֵׁ֨י מִלְחַמְתֵּ֜ךְ אֲשֶׁר־בָּ֗ךְ וּבְכׇל־קְהָלֵךְ֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר בְּתוֹכֵ֔ךְ יִפְּלוּ֙ בְּלֵ֣ב יַמִּ֔ים בְּי֖וֹם מַפַּלְתֵּֽךְ׃
Thy riches, and thy wares, thy merchandise, thy mariners, and thy pilots, they that caulk thy seams, and they that trade for thy merchandise, and all thy men of war, that are in thee, along with all thy company which is in the midst of thee, shall fall into the heart of the seas in the day of thy ruin.
לְק֖וֹל זַעֲקַ֣ת חֹבְלָ֑יִךְ יִרְעֲשׁ֖וּ מִגְרֹשֽׁוֹת׃
At the sound of the cry of thy pilots, the neighbouring districts shall quake.
וְֽיָרְד֞וּ מֵאֳנִיּֽוֹתֵיהֶ֗ם כֹּ֚ל תֹּפְשֵׂ֣י מָשׁ֔וֹט מַלָּחִ֕ים כֹּ֖ל חֹבְלֵ֣י הַיָּ֑ם אֶל־הָאָ֖רֶץ יַעֲמֹֽדוּ׃
And all that handle the oar, the mariners, and all the pilots of the sea, shall come down from their ships, they shall stand upon the land;
וְהִשְׁמִ֤יעוּ עָלַ֙יִךְ֙ בְּקוֹלָ֔ם וְיִזְעֲק֖וּ מָרָ֑ה וְיַעֲל֤וּ עָפָר֙ עַל־רָ֣אשֵׁיהֶ֔ם בָּאֵ֖פֶר יִתְפַּלָּֽשׁוּ׃
and they shall cause their voice to be heard over thee, and shall cry bitterly, and shall cast up dust upon their heads, they shall wallow in the ashes:
וְהִקְרִ֤יחוּ אֵלַ֙יִךְ֙ קׇרְחָ֔ה וְחָגְר֖וּ שַׂקִּ֑ים וּבָכ֥וּ אֵלַ֛יִךְ בְּמַר־נֶ֖פֶשׁ מִסְפֵּ֥ד מָֽר׃
and they shall make themselves bald for thee, and gird themselves with sackcloth, and they shall weep for thee in bitterness of soul, a bitter mourning.
וְנָשְׂא֨וּ אֵלַ֤יִךְ בְּנִיהֶם֙ קִינָ֔ה וְקוֹנְנ֖וּ עָלָ֑יִךְ מִ֣י כְצ֔וֹר כְּדֻמָ֖ה בְּת֥וֹךְ הַיָּֽם׃
And in their wailing they shall take up a lamentation for thee, and lament over thee, saying, Who is like Żor, like her who is brought to silence in the midst of the sea?
בְּצֵ֤את עִזְבוֹנַ֙יִךְ֙ מִיַּמִּ֔ים הִשְׂבַּ֖עַתְּ עַמִּ֣ים רַבִּ֑ים בְּרֹ֤ב הוֹנַ֙יִךְ֙ וּמַ֣עֲרָבַ֔יִךְ הֶעֱשַׁ֖רְתְּ מַלְכֵי־אָֽרֶץ׃
When thy wares went forth out of the seas, thou didst fill many peoples; thou didst enrich the kings of the earth with the multitude of thy riches and of thy merchandise.
עֵ֛ת נִשְׁבֶּ֥רֶת מִיַּמִּ֖ים בְּמַֽעֲמַקֵּי־מָ֑יִם מַעֲרָבֵ֥ךְ וְכׇל־קְהָלֵ֖ךְ בְּתוֹכֵ֥ךְ נָפָֽלוּ׃
Now thou art broken by the seas, in the depths of the waters; thy merchandise and all thy company are fallen in thy midst.
כֹּ֚ל יֹשְׁבֵ֣י הָאִיִּ֔ים שָׁמְמ֖וּ עָלָ֑יִךְ וּמַלְכֵיהֶם֙ שָׂ֣עֲרוּ שַׂ֔עַר רָעֲמ֖וּ פָּנִֽים׃
All the inhabitants of the islands are appalled at thee, and their kings are horribly afraid; their faces show alarm.
סֹֽחֲרִים֙ בָּֽעַמִּ֔ים שָׁרְק֖וּ עָלָ֑יִךְ בַּלָּה֣וֹת הָיִ֔ית וְאֵינֵ֖ךְ עַד־עוֹלָֽם׃{פ}
The merchants among the people hiss at thee; thou art become a terror, and never shalt be any more.
