Now these are the names of the tribes. From the north end beside the way to Ḥetlon, as one goes to Ḥamat, Ḥażar-῾enan, the border of Dammeseq northward beside Ḥamat; for these are his sides east and west; a portion for Dan.

And by the border of Dan, from the east side to the west side a portion for Asher.

And by the border of Asher, from the east side to the west side, a portion for Naftali.

And by the border of Naftali, from the east side to the west side, a portion for Menashshe.

And by the border of Menashshe, from the east side to the west side, a portion for Efrayim.

And by the border of Efrayim, from the east side to the west side a portion for Re᾽uven.

And by the border of Re᾽uven, from the east side to the west side, a portion for Yehuda.

And by the border of Yehuda, from the east side to the west side, shall be the designated portion which you shall designate of twenty five thousand reeds in breadth, and in length as one of the other parts, from the east side to the west side: and the sanctuary shall be in the midst of it.

The portion that you shall designate to the Lord shall be of twenty five thousand in length, and of ten thousand in breadth.

And they, the priests, shall have this holy portion; towards the north twenty five thousand in length, and towards the west ten thousand in breadth, and towards the east ten thousand in breadth, and towards the south twenty five thousand in length: and the sanctuary of the Lord shall be in the midst of it.

It shall belong to the priests that are sanctified of the sons of Żadoq; who have kept my charge, who went not astray when the children of Yisra᾽el went astray, as the other Levites went astray.

And it shall be to them a section set apart from the designated portion of the land, a thing most holy, by the border of the Levites.

And over against the border of the priests, the Levites shall have an area twenty five thousand in length, and ten thousand in breadth: all the length shall be twenty five thousand, and the breadth ten thousand.

And they shall not sell any of it, nor exchange, nor alienate that choice portion of the land: for it is holy to the Lord.

And the five thousand, that are left in the breadth in front of the twenty five thousand, shall be for common use, for the city, for dwelling, and for open land: and the city shall be in the midst of it.

And these shall be its measures; the north side four thousand five hundred, and the south side four thousand five hundred, and on the east side four thousand five hundred, and the west side four thousand five hundred.

And the city shall have open lands, to the north two hundred and fifty, and to the south two hundred and fifty, and to the east two hundred and fifty, and to the west two hundred and fifty.

And the residue in the length corresponding to the designated holy portion shall be ten thousand eastward, and ten thousand westward: and it shall be alongside the designated holy portion; and its produce shall be for food for those that work in the city.

And those who work in the city shall work in it of all the tribes of Yisra᾽el.

And the designated portion shall be twenty five thousand by twenty five thousand: you shall designate the holy portion foursquare, including the possession of the city.

And the residue shall be for the prince, on the one side and on the other of the holy portion, and of the possession of the city; in front of the twenty five thousand of the designated area to the east border, and westward in front of the twenty five thousand to the west border: corresponding to the portions of the tribes shall be the area for the prince: and the holy area set apart, and the sanctuary of the house shall be in the midst of it.

Thus the possession of the Levites, and the possession of the city, shall be in the midst of that which is the prince’s; between the border of Yehuda and the border of Binyamin, shall be the portion of the prince.

As for the rest of the tribes from the east side to the west side, Binyamin shall have a portion.

And by the border of Binyamin; from the east side to the west side, Shim῾on shall have a portion.

And by the border of Shim῾on. from the east side to the west side, Yissakhar shall have a portion.

And by the border of Yissakhar, from the east side to the west side, Zevulun shall have a portion.

And by the border of Zevulun, from the east side to the west side. Gad shall have one portion.

And by the border of Gad, at the Negev side southward, the border shall be from Tamar by the waters Merivat-qadesh, to the wadi, as far as the great sea.

This is the land which you shall divide by lot to the tribes of Yisra᾽el for inheritance, and these are their portions, says the Lord God.

And these are the exits of the city. On the north side, there is measure of four thousand five hundred.

And the gates of the city shall be after the names of the tribes of Yisra᾽el: three gates northward; one gate of Re᾽uven, one gate of Yehuda, one gate of Levi.

And at the east side there is a measure of four thousand five hundred: and three gates; one gate of Yosef, one gate of Binyamin, one gate of Dan.

And at the south side there is a measure of four thousand five hundred; and three gates; one gate of Shim῾on, one gate of Yissakhar, one gate of Zevulun.

At the west side there is a measure of four thousand five hundred, with their three gates; one gate of Gad, one gate of Asher, one gate of Naftali.

It shall be round about eighteen thousand measures: and the name of the city from that day shall be, The Lord is there.
