And the sons of Tola; ῾Uzzi, and Refaya, and Yeri᾽el, and Yaĥmay, and Yivsam, and Shemu᾽el, heads of their father’s houses, that is, of Tola; were valiant men at arms in their generations: their number in the days of David was twenty two thousand six hundred.

And the sons of Tolah: Uzzi and Refaya and Yeriel and Yachmai and Yivsam and Shmuel, heads of the house of their fathers. From Tola there issued men of valor, in their genderings. Their numbers in the days of David were twenty-two thousand and six hundred.

And the sons of ῾Uzzi; Yizraĥya: and the sons of Yizraĥya; Mikhal, and ῾Ovadya and Yo᾽el, Yishshiyya; five: all of them chief men.

And the sons of Uzzi: Yizrachyah. And the sons of Yizrachyah: Michael and Ovadyah and Yoel (and) Yeshiya — five heads, all, [(the father and the sons)].

And with them, by their generations, after the houses of their fathers, were bands of soldiers for war; thirty six thousand men: for they had many wives and sons.

And among them, in their genderings, by the house of their fathers, ranks for war, thirty-six thousand, for they multiplied wives and sons.

And their brethren among all the families of Yissakhar, valiant men at arms, reckoned in all by their genealogies, eighty seven thousand.

And their brothers, of all the families of Issachar, men of valor, eighty-seven thousand, all (confirmed) in their lineage.

The sons of Binyamin; Bela, and Bekher, and Yedi῾a᾽el; three.

Benjamin: Bela and Becher and Yedia'el — three.

And the sons of Bela; Eżbon, and ῾Uzzi, and ῾Uzzi᾽el, and Yerimot, and ῾Iri; five; heads of the houses of their fathers, mighty men at arms; and were reckoned by their genealogies, twenty two thousand and thirty four.

And the sons of Bela: Etzbon and Uzzi and Uziel and Yerimoth and Iri — five heads of a father's house, men of valor, twenty-two thousand and thirty-four in their lineage.

And the sons of Yedi῾a᾽el; Bilhan: and the sons of Bilhan; Ye῾ush, and Binyamin, and Eĥud, and Kena῾ana, and Zetan, and Tarshish, and Aĥishaĥar.

And the sons of Yediel, Bilhan. And the sons of Bilhan: Yeush and Binyamin and Ehud and Kena'anah and Zeithan and Tarshish and Achishachar.

All these were the sons of Yedi῾a᾽el, by the heads of their fathers, mighty men at arms, seventeen thousand two hundred, fit to go out to war and battle.

The sons of Menashshe; Asri᾽el, whom she bore: (but his concubine, the Arammian woman, bore Makhir the father of Gil῾ad:

The sons of Menasheh: Asriel, whom she [(his wife)] bore. His Aramite concubine bore Machir, the father of Gilead.

and Makhir took to wife one of the family of Ḥuppim and Shuppim, a sister, whose name was Ma῾akha;) and the name of the second was Żelofĥad: and Żelofĥad had daughters.

And Machir took to wife [the sister of] Chupim and Shupim, the name of whose sister was Ma'achah. And the name of the second [generation to Asriel] was Tzelafchad [(the son of Chefer, Asriel's brother [viz. Numbers 26:29-33])]. And Tzelafchad had daughters [(but no sons)].

And Ma῾akha the wife of Makhir bore a son, and she called his name Peresh; and the name of his brother was Sheresh; and his sons were Ulam and Reqem.

And Ma'achah, the wife of Machir, begot a son, and she called his name Peresh, and his brother's name was Sharesh, and his [Peresh's] sons were Ulam and Rakem.

And the son of Ulam; Bedan. These were the sons of Gil῾ad, the son of Makhir, the son of Menashshe.

And the sons of Ulam: Bedan. These are the sons of Gilead the son of Machir the son of Menasheh.

And his sister Hammolekhet bore Ishhod, and Avi῾ezer, and Maĥla.

And his sister, who reigned [in Gilead], bore Ashihod and Aviezer and Machlah.

And the sons of Shemida were, Aĥyan, and Shekhem, and Liqĥi, and Ani῾am.

And the sons of Sh'mida [(the son of Gilead)]: Achyan and Shechem and Likchi and Aniam.

And the sons of Efrayim; Shutelaĥ, and Bered his son, and Taĥat his son, and El῾ada his son, and Taĥat his son,

And the sons of Ephraim: Shuthalach, and Vered his son and Tachath his son and Elada his son and Tachath his son.

and Zavad his son, and Shutelaĥ his son, and ῾Eżer, and El῾ad, whom the men of Gat that were born in that land slew, because they came down to take away their cattle.

And Zavad his son and Shuthelach his son and Ezer and Elad. And the men of Gath, who were born in the land, killed them, for they went down to take their cattle.

And Efrayim their father mourned many days, and his brothers came to comfort him.

And he went in to his wife, and she conceived, and bore a son, and he called his name Beri῾a, because evil had befallen his house.

And he came to [i.e., cohabited with] his wife and she conceived and bore a son, and she called his name Beriyah, for evil (ra'ah) was in his house [(at the time of his birth)].

(And his daughter was She᾽era, who built both the lower and the upper Bet-ĥoron, and Uzzen-she᾽era.)

And his daughter was She'erah, and she built the lower Beth-choron and the upper, and Uzen-she'erah.

And Refaĥ was his son, and Reshef, and Telaĥ his son, and Taĥan his son,

And Refach was his [(Beriyah's)] son, and Reshef and Telach his [(Refach's)] sons and Tachan his [(Telach's)] son.

La῾dan his son, ῾Ammihud his son, Elishama his son,

And their holding and dwelling was Beth-el and its villages, and, to the east, Na'aran, and, to the west, Gezer and its villages, and Shechem and its villages, until Ayah and its villages,

and by the borders of the children of Menashshe, Bet-she᾽an and its hamlets, Ta῾nakh and its hamlets, Megiddo and its hamlets, Dor and its hamlets. In these dwelt the children of Yosef the son of Yisra᾽el.

and near the sons of Menasheh: Beth-shean and its villages, Ta'anach and its villages, Megiddo and its villages, Dor and its villages. In these dwelt the sons of Joseph, the son of Israel.

The sons of Asher; Yimna, and Yishva, and Yishvi, and Beri῾a, and Seraĥ their sister.

The sons of Asher: Yimnah and Yishvah and Yishvi and Beriyah and Serach, their sister.

And the sons of Beri῾a; Ḥever, and Malki᾽el, who is the father of Birzayit.

And the sons of Beriyah: Chever and Malkiel. He is the father of Birzayith.

And Ḥever begot Yaflet, and Shomer, and Ḥotam, and Shua their sister.

And Chever begot Yaflet and Shomer and Chotham and Shua, their sister.

And the sons of Yaflet; Pasakh, and Bimhal, and ῾Ashvat. These are the children of Yaflet.

And the sons of Yaflet: Pasach and Bimhal and Ashvath. These are the sons of Yaflet.

And the sons of Shemer; Aĥi, and Rohga, and Ḥubba, and Aram.

And the sons of Shamer, the brother of Verahgah, Vechubah and Aram.

And the sons of his brother Helem; Żofaĥ, and Yimna, and Shelesh, and ῾Amal.

And the sons of Yeter; Yefunne, and Pispa, and Ara.

And the sons of Yether: Yefuneh and Pispah and Ara.

And the sons of ῾Ulla; Araĥ, and Ḥanni᾽el, and Riżya.

And the sons of Ulla: Arach and Chaniel and Ritzya.

All these were the children of Asher, heads of their father’s houses, choice and mighty men at arms, chiefs of the princes. And the number reckoned by genealogy of those who were apt for war and battle was twenty six thousand men.
