Thus all the work that Shelomo did for the house of the Lord was finished: and Shelomo brought in all the things that David his father had dedicated; and the silver, and the gold, and all the vessels he put in the treasures of the house of God.

Then Shelomo assembled the elders of Yisra᾽el, and all the heads of the tribes, the heads of the fathers’ houses of the children of Yisra᾽el, to Yerushalayim, to bring up the ark of the covenant of the Lord out of the city of David, which is Żiyyon.

for the keruvim spread out their wings over the place of the ark, and the keruvim covered the ark and its poles from above.

וַֽיַּאֲרִ֘יכוּ֮ הַבַּדִּים֒ וַיֵּרָאוּ֩ רָאשֵׁ֨י הַבַּדִּ֤ים מִן־הָאָרוֹן֙ עַל־פְּנֵ֣י הַדְּבִ֔יר וְלֹ֥א יֵרָא֖וּ הַח֑וּצָה וַֽיְהִי־שָׁ֔ם עַ֖ד הַיּ֥וֹם הַזֶּֽה׃

And they drew out the poles of the ark, so that the ends of the poles were visible from the ark before the sanctuary; but they were not seen outside. And there it is to this day.

And the staves extended, and the ends of the staves were seen from the ark before the devir [(pressing against the parocheth, the curtain before the holy of holies)], but they did not protrude [(from the parocheth)]. And they are there until this day.

אֵ֚ין בָּאָר֔וֹן רַ֚ק שְׁנֵ֣י הַלֻּח֔וֹת אֲשֶׁר־נָתַ֥ן מֹשֶׁ֖ה בְּחֹרֵ֑ב אֲשֶׁ֨ר כָּרַ֤ת יְהֹוָה֙ עִם־בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל בְּצֵאתָ֖ם מִמִּצְרָֽיִם׃{פ}

There was nothing in the ark except the two tablets which Moshe put there at Ḥorev, when the Lord made a covenant with the children of Yisra᾽el, when they came out of Miżrayim.

וְהַלְוִיִּ֣ם הַמְשֹׁרְרִ֣ים לְכֻלָּ֡ם לְאָסָ֡ף לְהֵימָ֣ן לִ֠ידֻת֠וּן וְלִבְנֵיהֶ֨ם וְלַאֲחֵיהֶ֜ם מְלֻבָּשִׁ֣ים בּ֗וּץ בִּמְצִלְתַּ֙יִם֙ וּבִנְבָלִ֣ים וְכִנֹּר֔וֹת עֹמְדִ֖ים מִזְרָ֣ח לַמִּזְבֵּ֑חַ וְעִמָּהֶ֤ם כֹּֽהֲנִים֙ לְמֵאָ֣ה וְעֶשְׂרִ֔ים (מחצררים) [מַחְצְרִ֖ים] בַּחֲצֹצְרֽוֹת׃

also the Levites who were the singers, all of them of Asaf, of Heman, of Yedutun, with their sons and their brethren, clothed in white linen, having cymbals and lutes and lyres, stood at the east end of the altar, and with them a hundred and twenty priests sounding the trumpets:)

וַיְהִ֣י כְ֠אֶחָ֠ד (למחצצרים) [לַמְחַצְּרִ֨ים] וְלַמְשֹׁרְרִ֜ים לְהַשְׁמִ֣יעַ קוֹל־אֶחָ֗ד לְהַלֵּ֣ל וּלְהֹדוֹת֮ לַיהֹוָה֒ וּכְהָרִ֣ים ק֠וֹל בַּחֲצֹצְר֨וֹת וּבִמְצִלְתַּ֜יִם וּבִכְלֵ֣י הַשִּׁ֗יר וּבְהַלֵּ֤ל לַֽיהֹוָה֙ כִּ֣י ט֔וֹב כִּ֥י לְעוֹלָ֖ם חַסְדּ֑וֹ וְהַבַּ֛יִת מָלֵ֥א עָנָ֖ן בֵּ֥ית יְהֹוָֽה׃

and it came to pass when all at once the trumpeters and the singers sounded a note in unison, in praise and thanksgiving to the Lord; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the Lord, saying, For he is good; for his steadfast love endures for ever: that then the house, the house of the Lord, was filled with a cloud;

And the trumpeters and the singers were as one, to make one sound, to praise and to thank the L rd. And when they resounded with trumpets and with cymbals and with the instruments of song, and with praise to the L rd — "for He is good; for His lovingkindness endures forever" — that the house was filled with the cloud [(indigenous to)] the house of G d.

וְלֹא־יָכְל֧וּ הַכֹּהֲנִ֛ים לַעֲמ֥וֹד לְשָׁרֵ֖ת מִפְּנֵ֣י הֶעָנָ֑ן כִּֽי־מָלֵ֥א כְבוֹד־יְהֹוָ֖ה אֶת־בֵּ֥ית הָאֱלֹהִֽים׃{פ}

so that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the Lord had filled the house of God.
