And it came to pass at the end of twenty years, during which Shelomo had built the house of the Lord, and his own house,

And it was, at the end of twenty years of Solomon's building the house of the L rd [(seven years)] and his house [(thirteen years)],

that the cities which Ḥuram had given Shelomo, Shelomo built them, and caused the children of Yisra᾽el to dwell there.

that Solomon built the cities that Hiram had given to Solomon, and he settled the children of Israel there.

And Shelomo went to Ḥamat-żova, and prevailed against it.

And Solomon went to Chamath-tzovah and he subdued it.

And he built Tadmor in the wilderness, and all the store cities, which he built in Ḥamat.

And he built Tadmor in the desert and all the treasure cities that he had built in Chamath.

And he built the upper Bet-ĥoron, and the lower Bet-ĥoron, fortified cities, with walls, gates, and bars;

And he built upper Beth-choron and lower Beth-choron, fortified cities, with walls, doors and bars.

and Ba῾alat, and all the store cities that Shelomo had, and all the chariot cities, and the cities of the horsemen, and all that Shelomo desired to build in Yerushalayim, and in the Levanon, and throughout all the land of his dominion.

And (he built) Ba'alath and all the treasure cities that Solomon had, and all the cities of the chariots and the cities of the riders, and (in fulfillment of) all the desire of Solomon, what he desired to build in Jerusalem and in the Levanon and in all the land of his kingdom.

As for all the people who were left of the Ḥitti, and the Emori, and the Perizzi, and the Ḥivvi, and the Yevusi, who were not of Yisra᾽el;

[(the "labor levy" of Solomon for the building of the Temple:)] All the people remaining of the Chitti, the Emori, the Perizi, the Chivi, and the Yevussi, who were not of Israel,

of their children, who were left after them in the land, whom the children of Yisra᾽el did not wipe out, Shelomo raised a levy of them until this day.

of their children who remained after them in the land, whom the children of Israel did not destroy. And Solomon raised them as a labor tribute until this day.

But of the children of Yisra᾽el of whom Shelomo did not make servants for his work, (for they were men of war, and chiefs of his captains, and captains of his chariots and horsemen,)

And from the children of Israel Solomon did not raise a labor (tribute), but they were the men of war and his commanding officers and the officers of his chariots and his riders.

even of these were the chiefs of king Shelomo’s officers, two hundred and fifty, who bore rule over the people.

And these [i.e., among the above] were King Solomon's supervisors, two hundred and fifty who oversaw the people.

And Shelomo brought up the daughter of Par῾o out of the city of David to the house that he had built for her: for he said, My wife shall not dwell in the house of David, king of Yisra᾽el, because the places to which the ark of the Lord has come are holy.

And Solomon brought up the daughter of Pharaoh from the city of David to the house that he had built for her, saying: A wife of mine shall not dwell in the house of David king of Israel, for they [(i.e., that complex of houses)] are holy, the ark of the L rd having come to them [i.e., to a house in their midst.]

Then Shelomo offered burnt offerings to the Lord, on the altar of the Lord, which he had built before the porch,

Then Solomon sacrificed burnt-offerings to the L rd on the altar of the L rd that he had built before the Ulam.

after a certain rate every day, offering according to the commandment of Moshe, on the sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the appointed seasons, three times in the year, on the feast of unleavened bread, and on the feast of weeks, and on the feast of booths.

And [(sacrificed there was)] the thing [i.e., the offering] of the day in its day, to sacrifice (it), as ordained by Moses, on Sabbaths and on New Moons and on festivals, three times a year: on the festival of matzoth, on the festival of Shavuoth, and on the festival of Succoth.

And according to the form prescribed by David his father, he set the divisions of the priests to their service, and the Levites to their charges, to praise and minister before the priests, as the duty of every day required: the gatekeepers also by their divisions at every gate: for so had David the man of God commanded.

And he set up, according to the ordinance of David his father the divisions of the priests in their service and the Levites in their watches to praise (the L rd) and to minister alongside the priests, the (service of the) day in its day, and the gatekeepers according to their divisions for each gate. For thus was it ordained by David, the man of G d.

And they did not depart from the commandment of the king to the priests and Levites concerning any matter, or concerning the treasures.

And they did not deviate from the charge of the king to the priests and to the Levites, in any matter (of service) and for (overseeing) the treasuries.

So all the work of Shelomo was accomplished from the day of the foundation of the house of the Lord, until it was finished. So the house of the Lord was completed.

And all the work of Solomon was perfectly executed, from the founding of the house of the L rd until its completion — the house of the L rd was perfect.

Then Shelomo went to ῾Eżyon-gever, and to Elot, at the sea side in the land of Edom.

Then Solomon went to Etzyon-gever and to Eiloth on the seashore in the land of Edom.

And Ḥuram sent him by the hands of his servants ships, and servants that had knowledge of the sea; and they went with the servants of Shelomo to Ofir, and took from there four hundred and fifty talents of gold, and brought them to king Shelomo.

And Hiram sent him by his servants, ships, and servants knowing the sea. And they came with the servants of Solomon to Ophir. And they took from there four hundred and fifty talents of gold, and they brought (it) to King Solomon.
