He did what was right in the eyes of Adonoy; like all that Amatzyoh his father had done.
However, the high places were not removed; the people were still offering sacrifices and burning incense on the high places.
Adonoy brought a plague upon the king and he was stricken with tzora’as until the day of his death, and he lived in a retirement house. Yosum, the king’s son, who was [appointed] over the palace judging the people of the land.
The rest of Azaryohu’s deeds and all that he did are written in the book of chronicles of Yehudah’s kings.
וַיִּשְׁכַּ֤ב עֲזַרְיָה֙ עִם־אֲבֹתָ֔יו וַיִּקְבְּר֥וּ אֹת֛וֹ עִם־אֲבֹתָ֖יו בְּעִ֣יר דָּוִ֑ד וַיִּמְלֹ֛ךְ יוֹתָ֥ם בְּנ֖וֹ תַּחְתָּֽיו׃{פ}
Azaryoh lay with his forefathers and they was buried him with his forefathers, in the City of Dovid; and his son Yosum reigned in his place.

Shalum son of Yoveish revolted against him, and struck him before the people and killed him; and he reigned in his place.

This was the word of Adonoy that He had spoken to Yeihu, saying, “Your fourth generation’s descendants will sit on Yisroel’s throne,” and so it was.
